Djokovic is massive favourite to take this match in straight sets. Can Wawrinka claim one against the Serb?

    11/12/2014 8:43:54 PM
  • N DJOKOVIC 5-2 S WAWRINKA*
Djokovic goes to the drop-shot well again but it has run dry and this one drops tamely into the net. 15-30. An ace gets him back on track and Wawrinka then lashes one of his trademark backhands narrowly wide. The third seed then badly mishits a forehand and it is all going wrong for him at present.
    11/12/2014 8:44:52 PM
  • Stan needs to get something going here. He has lost five games in a row!

    11/12/2014 8:46:07 PM
  • N DJOKOVIC 5-2 S WAWRINKA*
Djokovic looks furious after putting a forehand long when he was chasing a set point and Wawrinka then sends down his first ace but a stinging forehand crosscourt return from Djokovic sets him back on his heels. Djokovic then produces an angle you won't find on a protractor to save a game point and Stan lobs in yet another ill-timed double-fault but then does well to save a first set point. Back to deuce!

    11/12/2014 8:52:13 PM
  • N DJOKOVIC* 5-3 S WAWRINKA
Well held that man! Wawrinka pulls out a trademark backhand winner which has the crowd purring and Djokovic then goes wide to cede the game. He will have to try and serve out the set now.
    11/12/2014 8:53:36 PM
  • N DJOKOVIC 6-3 S WAWRINKA*
After winning the first point, Djokovic releases a forehand to the corner followed by backhand volley medley to make it 30-0 and then sends down an unreturnable serve for an encore. Wawrinka saves one set point but then puts a lob long and he is a set behind,[set]
    11/12/2014 8:57:01 PM
  • N DJOKOVIC 6-3 S WAWRINKA*
Entertaining stuff and Djokovic looking good but the reality is that Wawrinka fell apart a bit after going 2-0 up, mixing double-faults and unforced errors together in a dodgy and set-losing cocktail! Let's see if he can get back on song!
    11/12/2014 8:59:25 PM
  • N DJOKOVIC* 6-3 1-0 S WAWRINKA
A Wawrinka forehand sails long and Djokovic has two more break points to get his teeth into. Wawrinka bags an ace after a challenge but then lets loose on the backhand and it flies long. Terrible start to the set for poor old Stan.[break]

    11/12/2014 9:02:14 PM
  • N DJOKOVIC 6-3 2-0 S WAWRINKA*
Even Wawrinka is clapping after Djokovic wins a point with two magical shots in a row. The top seed then sidles up to the net and neatly puts away a backhand volley. A rocket backhand down the line follows and Djokovic is now playing tennis on a different level to what we are seeing in the other matches.
    11/12/2014 9:06:12 PM
  • N DJOKOVIC* 6-3 3-0 S WAWRINKA
Wawrinka just has no answers and Djokovic is hitting it where he wants. A weary Wawrinka goes wide with a forehand and Novak has a double break.[break]
    11/12/2014 9:08:40 PM
  • "Er, Novak. Could you raise your left arm if you think the Sky Sports tennis blog is an absolute must-read?"

    11/12/2014 9:09:58 PM
  • N DJOKOVIC 6-3 4-0 S WAWRINKA*
Djokovic is hitting to the corners, advancing to the net, and then putting volleys away. It is a time-honoured tactic and generally serves him well but a loose backhand briefly throws a spoke in the wheel. It is 30-30 but a fine serve and a clever drop shot quell the insurrection.
    11/12/2014 9:13:20 PM
  • N DJOKOVIC* 6-3 5-0 S WAWRINKA
Wawrinka makes a pair of blunders to fall 0-40 down but then gets a big cheer with a beautiful winner. Plenty of frustration went into that but it is all for nought as he puts a backhand long on the next point.[break]
    11/12/2014 9:16:28 PM
  • N DJOKOVIC* 6-3 5-0 S WAWRINKA
Wawrinka wide with a forehand. 15-0. Djokovic nets a forehand. 15-15. Good volley from Djokovic and Wawrinka can only net. 30-15. Smash from Djokovic! 40-15 ...
    11/12/2014 9:19:23 PM
  • It's all over!! Djokovic bags another comprehensive win![game-set-match]
    11/12/2014 9:20:29 PM
  • N DJOKOVIC 6-3 6-0 S WAWRINKA
Incredible - after losing the first two games in a row, Djokovic won 12 of the next 13 to win this match in just 65 minutes and continue the trend of one-sided encounters at this year's ATP World Tour Finals.

The top seed and defending champion clinched victory with a brilliant forehand winner and has lost a total of five games in his first two matches, as he has put two of the best players in the world to the sword.

  • NOTHING WRONG WITH STAT!
Novak had 13 winners to 17 unforced errors tonight but almost half of the errors came in the first two games, when he was unusually poor. He was brilliant in set two and is obviously going to be hard to beat this week. 29 indoor wins in a row and counting!

Stan had 8 winners to 29 unforced errors and it all went  wrong quickly after a promising start. He only had three double-faults but I think at least two of them came at crucial moments in the first set, when he was busy squandering important service games.

  • NO STOPPING NOVAK TONIGHT

    11/12/2014 9:36:15 PM
  • WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?
Same as yesterday - nothing definite! No one is 100% through or out in Group A yet but Novak Djokovic is obviously looking a pretty safe bet to reach the last four after two convincing wins while Marin Cilic is a long-shot after two heavy beatings.

Stan Wawrinka and Tomas Berdych each have a convincing win and a heavy loss to their names and one of those two is likely to progress with Djokovic.
    11/12/2014 9:40:27 PM
  • DJOKOVIC REFLECTS ON TONIGHT'S WIN:
Stan was not feeling his best. He had a lot of unforced errors and a low first serve percentage. I just played solid, covered the court well, got a lot of balls back and got him out of his comfort zone, which was part of my plan. I kept calm after losing the first two games and it was a pretty amazing performance after that.

  • THAT'S ALL FOLKS!

Thanks again for your company. Who needs three-set thrillers, I am having a ball here! Hope you can join us again tomorrow when I am definitely expecting a day of high drama, as we find out who will qualify for the semi-finals from Group B. It is Nishikori-Raonic and then the small matter of Murray-Federer in the evening! Sleep well, see you all then![recommend]

    11/12/2014 11:13:31 PM
  • TOP THE MORNING TO YA!
Hi everyone - here we go again! Welcome along to our coverage of today's action from the O2 in London. The place is abuzz - and no wonder! Group B will be completed today, so we will learn the two qualifiers for the semi-finals. And it is safe to say it is all up for grabs.

We will go through some scenarios shortly but, first things first, we start with Kei Nishikori v Milos Raonic (not before 2pm) and then Roger Federer will then face Andy Murray (not before 8pm). That second match should be verrrry interesting. Have a great day, stick with us for full coverage!

  • 11/13/2014 12:44:07 PM
  • MURRAY IMPLICATIONS:
The withdrawal of Milos Raonic means that, whatever happens in this afternoon's match, Andy Murray will be out of the tournament if he fails to beat Roger Federer this evening.
    11/13/2014 1:01:02 PM
  • BARRY COWAN ON RAONIC'S WITHDRAWAL:
It is really unfortunate Raonic has pulled out but he is looking long term as opposed to short term. There is a risk that playing a match could set him back two months and scupper a very important part of the season, when he is looking to improve his game and physicality. He has made the right decision for himself and the tournament.

  • DOUBLES UPDATE
Amidst the drama of Raonic's withdrawal, doubles is occurring! Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez won the first set 7-6 (7-5) against Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic. Nestor and Zimonjic are 2-1 up in set two.

Match tie-break time! Nestor and Zimonjic win the second set 6-3.

  • EPIC WIN!
Having been a set down, Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic have beaten Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez after an epic match tie-break. The duo prevailed 6-7 (5-7) 6-3 11-9.[game-set-match]
    11/13/2014 2:00:22 PM
  • RAONIC ON HIS INJURY:
At first it felt like cramping but, when I got up from a changeover (during the match against Murray) and had to stand, I knew it was something else. Obviously, I feel pessimistic right now. I had a great time here, I really badly wanted to play.

    11/13/2014 2:02:59 PM
  • RAONIC ON DECISION TO PULL OUT:
The doctors said that, if I were to play, I'd be walking a tightrope. That was a factor in my decision. I didn't want to accept it but I had to listen to the doctors and my team. It would be unfair to fans if I were to step out there and play a mediocre match or if things got worse and I had to stop.

  • K NISHIKORI V D FERRER
So, Kei Nishikori and David Ferrer are about to square off here, following Milos Raonic's withdrawal, and the qualification scenarios are complicated! As mentioned earlier, whatever happens here, Andy Murray is out if he loses to Roger Federer this evening. But, if Ferrer wins now and Murray then triumphs, the Brit will win the group! If Murray and Nishikori both win, it gets complicated. We will cross that bridge if we come to it. For what it's worth I could see Ferrer winning this match!
    11/13/2014 2:10:58 PM
  • HEAD2HEAD
Nishikori and Ferrer are on court! The duo have met eight times previously on the ATP Tour and Nishikori has a 5-3 advantage.

That is mainly thanks to his dominance over Ferrer this year. Nishikori won 7-6 2-6 7-6 in Miami, 7-6 5-7 6-3 in Madrid and 3-6 7-6 6-4 recently in Paris. All three-setters though, are we about to get our first three-setter of the week here?
    11/13/2014 2:14:04 PM
  • K NISHIKORI 0-0 D FERRER*
The guys are about to start and Spaniard Ferrer will serve first.
    11/13/2014 2:18:06 PM
  • K NISHIKORI* 0-1 D FERRER
Solid start from Ferrer, who is likely to relish this chance to show what he can do. He holds serve to 30 when Nishikori thumps a backhand into the net.
    11/13/2014 2:23:53 PM
  • K NISHIKORI 1-1 D FERRER*
Ferrer gets to 30-30 when Nishikori pulls a forehand wide but the fourth seed rattles off the next two points in short order to level the match.
    11/13/2014 2:27:19 PM
  • K NISHIKORI* 1-2 D FERRER
Classic from Ferrer, as he runs all over the court and ends up winning a thrilling point he had no right to with a backhand smash. However, he follows with a double-fault. Nishikori then nets a forehand though and Ferrer powers down an ace (!) to edge in front again.
    11/13/2014 2:30:37 PM
  • K NISHIKORI 2-2 D FERRER*
Nishikori double-faults to go 15-30 down but then plays a brilliant forehand winner which lands just in and follows up with a clean backhand winner. He's great from both wings! Another delightful backhand seals the game and Kei looks in good heart.
