Arsenal's 3-1 win at West Ham took them back to the top of the Premier League table after 18 games played, and plunged the Hammers into the drop zone. Man City are a point back in second spot after beating Liverpool 2-1, and Chelsea's 1-0 win over Swansea has them in third. Fulham and Sunderland both won on the road but remain in the bottom three.

  • [chriskamara]Chris Kamara, discussing Wayne Rooney's goal on Soccer Extra...
That's a finish and a half! Everyone said there would be problems there between Rooney and David Moyes, but there doesn't seem to be any problems at all.

    Guest Luis Boa Morte adds...
He's in sensational form. With Van Persie not there at the moment, Rooney's the one to keep the momentum going. It's a really great finish.

    12/27/2013 10:51:07 AM
  • [manchesterunited]Manchester United may need to move Chris Smalling to right-back for Saturday's trip to NorwichManager David Moyes is short in the position after Rafael suffered a first-half groin injury against Hull and replacement Antonio Valencia picked up a late red card. Phil Jones is out for a fortnight with a knee problem but Nemanja Vidic could come in and there will be late tests on Michael Carrick (Achilles) and Robin van Persie (thigh).

  • [betting]The Soccer Extra team have just been discussing Crystal Palace's 1-0 win at Aston Villa, secured by Dwight Gayle's excellent late strike. Palace are now only three points behind Villa in the table, and Paul Lambert is beginning to feel serious pressure again. He's 10/1 in Sky Bet's 'Next Premier League Manager to leave' market, with West Ham's Sam Allardyce at 6/1 and Norwich's Chris Hughton at 9/1. Unsurprisingly, Cardiff boss Malky Mackay is a huge favourite here - he's as short as 1/7.
    12/27/2013 10:59:26 AM
  • [celtic]Here's another excellent goal from the Boxing Day action which we showed live on Sky Sports. Virgil van Dijk went on a solo run from inside his own half and ended up scoring the winner for Celtic at St Johnstone. The Hoops now have an 11-point lead over Motherwell at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

    12/27/2013 11:07:06 AM
  • [hull]Hull expect to be without goalkeeper Allan McGregor and midfielder David Meyler for Saturday's visit of FulhamBoth players came off at half-time with knee problems in the 3-2 Boxing Day loss to Manchester United and are unlikely to manage the quick turnaround. Alex Bruce is also struggling with a calf complaint sustained in the same match, while Stephen Quinn (hamstring) and Sone Aluko (Achilles) remain sidelined.
