    FIGHT NIGHT ODDS
[betting]No prizes for guessing where the money's going tonight, it's all riding on the big favourites - the main attractions. That's right, Joshua, Crolla and Quigg. But so short are the odds, that you'll get just 19 pence back for every pound placed if you fancy a treble on the three big favourites to win. Anyone for an upset? Bet here.

    MARCUS MAKES MARK
In another early result, debutant Marcus Morrison halted Csaba Torma inside the first round. A perfect start to the welterweight's professional career.
    9/13/2014 7:05:40 PM
It was tough. I have sparred him before and he put me down with a few body shots, so that was always on my mind. I'm just glad I won. By the time the referee got there he was sitting on the second rope. The referee did the right thing.
Sam Eggington was wary of Denton Vassell's power, but felt the stoppage was correct.

Sky Sports pundit Jamie Moore certainly enjoyed the Vassell-Eggington battle.

    UP NEXT IS...
Anthony Crolla is in against Gameliel Diaz, with talk of a
world title still on the Mancunian’s mind.
This is not going to be easy though,
    that is for certain.
The Mexican is not going to be a pushover. Crolla always
brings the locals in, so this should be buzzing…
    9/13/2014 8:13:01 PM
    DIAZ IS IN FIRST[boxing]
Diaz has been a world champion of course and has the experience that even Crolla does not match. The WBC super featherweight title was his only last year. He is 38-11-2 with only 17KO’s…
    9/13/2014 8:19:10 PM
    MILLION DOLLAR!
The crowd get behind the local hero already. He knows he needs to win this and win this well - it could finally put his name and face on that world-title level. He needs a big, big win...
    9/13/2014 8:20:24 PM
    DERRY IS WATCHING [twitter]
Derry Mathews, a man who holds a win over Anthony Crolla, is keeping a close eye on this one.

    9/13/2014 8:21:01 PM

    [round-1]
Crolla takes the centre but Diaz looks typically Mexican –
hunched, bunched, rushing in and hard. A nice bodyshot and a nice right catch Crolla early but he is establishing that jab nicely.  A double jab and a lovely left to the temple are good. Diaz resonds well but again he foes downstairs – and that works well. A decent opening round and Crolla on his toes and on his jab. Diaz ready to stick it out.

    9/13/2014 8:24:43 PM

    [round-2]

The crowd kick in with “oh Anthony Crollaaaa” but Diaz pings his own jab in.
Crolla is bouncing around, is clearly on point and again the Mexican’s main weapon is that right hook to the body. He also adds two uppercuts as Crolla is caught in range. A lovely jab redressed the balance and he closes the round well. He looks like he could be in for a long night. But he does look sharp when he’s on the offence.

    FIGHT NIGHT TIP
[betting]Sky Bet's boxing tipster Jamie Casey reckons Scott Quigg will bide his time and get some much-needed rounds under his belt tonight, before finishing the job in the second half of the fight. Elsewhere, Floyd Mayweather to beat Marcos Maidana on points over in America in the early hours seems a banker, as usual, and the two bets combined pays out 3/1. Back the tip here.
    9/13/2014 8:30:00 PM

    [round-3]

Diaz goes in early to the body but Crolla spins away and does it back! He has gone downstairs for the first time but is back up with two great jabs.
But somehow there is now follow and Diaz just comes rolling in, catching him on the body – it is quantity rather than quality. Hang on, the uppercut is back and Crolla is caught. A cracking stiff jab jolts Diaz though and the response is just what he needs – and Manchester needed to see. It is busy but already a tough one to call!

    9/13/2014 8:31:47 PM
    [cut-above-eye]
An awful cut above the left springs up! The blood is gushing before he even gets to his stool. It looks like a technical draw and it is... waved off!
    9/13/2014 8:32:55 PM
    DISASTER!
It is a bad, bad, bad cut. Diaz is no wimp and if you saw that cut you wouldn't want to fight on. Referee Richie Davies signalled the second but the Mexican men in the corner kept the towel over his head and then it was waved off.
    9/13/2014 8:34:31 PM
    [cut-above-eye]
It turned out to be the final clash before the bell for the first. It wasn't as vicious as we have seen, right across the right eye over the eyebrow but at least an inch long. They have cleaned it up and it looks nasty... real shame!
    9/13/2014 8:36:30 PM
    [ouch]
Diaz refuses to fight on after suffering the nasty cut
