  • WARRINGTON v MUNROE - ROUND SIX
The champion takes the centre of the ring and the challenger doesn't seem able to move in. Munroe's jab misses badly time after time and almost with ease Warrington lands a wide, arking left hook. It's not hard but it hits home and that again underlines who is the boss. That little sharp right on the inside works well again and the Binman is not at the races yet...

  • WARRINGTON v MUNROE - ROUND SEVEN
A great start from the champion, who shoves Munroe into the corner and unleashes a right-left-right to the body and does it again, a nice stiff jab in between another nice exchange. Munroe's best response is an uppercut with the right but it is snaffled and Warrington's defence is as good as his attack. He ends the round with Munroe on the ropes again, that overhead right lands again on the bell

  • IT'S OVER
Rendall Munroe has been pulled out by his corner!
    4/19/2014 8:06:50 PM
  • WARRINGTON WINS!
Mick Shinfield calls the referee over and says that's it. Warrington leaps across, punches the air and celebrates. The news is that Munroe was withdrawn due to a "jaw problem". It does not look like Ricky Burns, that's for sure but it explains a lot!

  • Rendall Munroe sheds a tear as he calls it quits, it seems

    4/19/2014 8:11:44 PM
  • Warrington landed a left on that jaw that led to the stoppage

    4/19/2014 8:12:02 PM
  • I love the sport, but the time comes when your sharpness just isn't there... it's just not there. At the of the day I've done 10 or 11 years as a pro and when my team tell me that's it, that is it...
Rendall Munroe brings a tear to his - and our - eye
    4/19/2014 8:15:53 PM
  • It is sad. I was there at the beginning of Rendall's career and like so many, we've seen the full journey. You know when they're full of fire, their sharpness is there and when the reaction's there. And you also know when they're struggling. He's been a terrific ambassador for boxing.
Glenn McCrory bids farwell to the Binman

  • NATIONAL ANTHEMS
It's a world title and tradition never changes. Munyai and his South African team sing their anthem before the arena erupts to God Save The Queen. Quigg with a hand on his chest, raring to represent the United Kingdom with a win...
    4/19/2014 8:34:01 PM
  • ALMOST HERE!
It's almost time. We have three world champions in the UK so let's hope Quigg can keep that hat-trick going! The Atomic Spider is a late call-up, but he is tricky and awkward. This could well bring the best out of the world champion!
    4/19/2014 8:36:17 PM
  • QUIGG TIME!
The boy from Bury gets a huge reception from the fight fans in Manchester. But there is a sense of caution from the crowd too, so let's see if that happens in the ring. Fight time is here folks!
    4/19/2014 8:37:54 PM

  • QUIGG v MUNYAI - ROUND ONE
A cautious start indeed, which is not surprising. Quigg takes the centre of the ring and Munyai pings a few jabs in from a distance.

    4/19/2014 8:40:32 PM
  • QUIGG v MUNYAI - ROUND ONE
Bang! A left hook from Quigg lands flush and Munyai is floored. On his back, in bad trouble. He makes it up at eight but he is still in trouble. There's 20 seconds left and he makes it to the bell!
    4/19/2014 8:41:55 PM
  • QUIGG v MUNYAI - ROUND TWO
Quigg comes in with another left but Munyai moves out of the way this time - and responds with a left of his own. Sensible stuff from the champion though, he is not charging in looking for another shot. Hang on... he's done it again! Munyia is down again!
    4/19/2014 8:44:01 PM
  • IT'S OVER!
Quigg has KO'd him in two! A vicious right puts him down again. He got up made the count again but a flurry of punches with his back on the ropes, spell the end for the South Afrcian...
    4/19/2014 8:45:24 PM
  • QUIGG WORK!
An absolute peach of a right! Quigg teed it up with a left and than delivered it with devastating power and precision. Impressive to say the least
    4/19/2014 8:46:47 PM
  • CONCERNS
There are paramedics in the ring looking at Munyai but thankfully he is OK and he can walk from the ring. The first-round left and the second-round right were hard to say the least! This is was supposed to be a tough test for Quigg, but this was no problem whatsoever
    4/19/2014 8:48:50 PM
  • THANK YOU!
Scott Quigg takes the mic and thanks the Manchester fight fans.

  • Down again! Munyai is floored by a fierce right!

  • Scott Quigg celebrates a stunning stoppage!

  • MOORE'S THOUGHTS
Everyday he's explosive in the gym. He's some fighter. I want to watch Scott Quigg fight like that all the time in arenas like this.
Jamie Moore was thoroughly impressed by Quigg's showing.
    4/19/2014 8:54:57 PM
  • I wanted to make a statement. I wanted you to see the best of Scott Quigg and you did. He (Munyai) took the fight at late notice but it doesn't take your durability away... and I have just destroyed him.
Scott Quigg reflects on his success
    4/19/2014 8:56:50 PM
  • MOORE WANTS QUIGG-FRAMPTON
At this moment in time I still have Frampton a slight favourite but Scott Quigg is improving at a massive rate and a few fights down the line then who knows. That's why it's going to be such a good fight.

    4/19/2014 8:57:11 PM
  • McCRORY'S VERDICT
That was a statement. He shouldn't really have done that to Munyai. The way he took him out was clinical. He did a number on a good fighter.

Glenn McCrory was shocked by Quigg's quick - and stunning - stoppage of Munyai

  • FIGHTS KEEP COMING!
A four-rounder between Liam Hanrahan and Antonio Horvatic keeps the action coming. But it might well be the chance to catch your breath... before another massive Mancunian moment.
    4/19/2014 8:59:57 PM
  • HANRAHAN v HORVATIC - ROUND ONE
Liam starts well, then lands a low one and as the referee steps in he swings one more that lands - a lot higher. Give Horvatic his dues, he did not complain. Hanrahan though comes back on the offensive and lands a left and then right low again and seems to boss the closing stages. It's not quite Quigg standards, but it's a good start!
    4/19/2014 9:02:42 PM
  • HANRAHAN v HORVATIC - ROUND TWO
Liam again lands a decent left at the beginning but the visitor hits back and does not weaken despite the body shots landing regularly. There are two more low blows though and the referee gives a final warning. Liam does move back up and a smart left to the ribs really made his mark and is clearly a step up in class.
    4/19/2014 9:10:18 PM
  • HANRAHAN V HORVATIC - ROUND THREE
Hanrahan is setting a terrific pace, following up his strong jab with combinations to the head. Horvatic is on the defence but Hanrahan - who is favouring the upper cut, with either hand, at any opportunity - is wearing him down.
    4/19/2014 9:11:38 PM
  • HANRAHAN V HORVATIC - ROUND FOUR
Hanrahan lands a left jab right on the nose but Horvatic beds in behind his guard and then responds with an overhand right, surprising his opponent. Hanrahan is soon back to work though, firing a double-handed flurry before going downstairs.
    4/19/2014 9:14:40 PM
  • HANRAHAN WINS ON POINTS
At the bell Horvatic seemed delighted with his performance, but Hanrahan has won all four rounds and is awarded a comfortable win.
