  • WATT'S VIEW
If Crolla gets drawn into a fight you have to side with Murray because he's naturally bigger and stronger. If Crolla can stick to a gameplan and box for 12 rounds, I'd fancy him on points, so it is so hard to pick. I am leaning towards Murray.

    4/19/2014 9:38:50 PM
  • CROLLA V MURRAY - ROUND TWO
After a frantic first, both boxers are a little more cautious at the start of the second. Crolla looks sharp, constantly looking to counter Murray with quick left jabs to the head. Murray gets a right hand through, though, and Crolla felt that.
    4/19/2014 9:41:15 PM
  • CROLLA v MURRAY - ROUND TWO
Murray stands and delivers. Crolla musters a response but Murray soon has his man back on the ropes, following up rights to the head with a powerful left to the body. Crolla is reddening around the left eye - while Murray is looking fresh and fierce.

Crolla is producing the more accurate shots but it's Murray setting the relentless pace. A low left from Murray goes unnoticed by the ref, despite Crolla throwing him a glance. • CROLLA V MURRAY - ROUND THREE
Low, high, low, high - Murray is mixing it up and causing Crolla problems. A straight right goes into Crolla's midriff, doubling him over, but the champ manages to escape and will be relieved to hear the bell. This is electric stuff - and we've only had three rounds!

  • CROLLA V MURRAY - ROUND FOUR
Within seconds of the re-start Murray is unloading again with Crolla backing up into the ropes. Crolla's jab and movement is getting him out of trouble at times but Murray continues to come forward and take the fight to his fellow Mancunian.

He's back in action soon enough though, and a terrific right hand opens up an opportunity - and Murray takes it, unloading on Crolla who is struggling to cope with the constant barrages coming from his friend. Crolla makes a move for the corner, thinking he's heard the bell. The bell DOES go a few seconds later but Crolla will be relieved to have some time on his stool now to compose himself.

    4/19/2014 9:52:02 PM
  • CROLLA V MURRAY - ROUND FIVE
How long can Murray sustain this pace? Can Crolla eat into Murray's lead in the second half of the fight? Murray seems to be measuring his effort a little more at the start of the fifth and a double-jab from Crolla lands nicely.
    4/19/2014 9:53:59 PM
  • CROLLA V MURRAY - ROUND FIVE
Murray responds by stepping up the pace but his work is more ragged now. He lands a left hook which Crolla shrugs off and the champ has produced a better session there, evading the big hits and returning with some smart left jabs of his own.

    4/19/2014 9:56:48 PM

  • VIEW FROM RINGSIDE

I've got it three rounds a piece. But if I was to pick a winner from here on, I'd say Crolla. He looks fresher, he's stuck to his tactics more. Murray shook him up a few times but I'd pick Crolla from this point.

That's the best I've been in training. I was ultra-confident going into this fight but I want to take my hat off to Anthony because he was bang on, really good.

  • EDDIE HEARN
Anthony deserves a world title fight - and I believe we can bring one to Manchester. He's one of the very top lightweights in the world. John and Anthony were a credit to the sport from start to finish.

  • McCRORY'S VERDICT
They trainend hard, they haven't had to call each other names, they've conducted themselves wonderfully.

    4/19/2014 10:34:22 PM
  • MOORE'S VERDICT
It was a cracking fight. It kind of gelled like we thought it would beforehand. It was Anthony with the movement, John applying the pressure. But I think he put on a little bit too much too soon - and that was his own undoing really.

    4/19/2014 10:35:22 PM
  • SMITH'S VERDICT
You've got to weather the storm. Yiou've got to be hard, you've got to be tough and you've got to get through it. But you've got to put it on later in the fight. That will make it your fighter.
