Live coverage of the Heineken Cup quart-finals

  • [try] TRY! Ulster 3-5 Saracens
That's a much better scrum from Saracens who really get the shove on - Wigglesworth passes to Hodgson who sends the inside ball to Ashton who fractures the Ulster defence and scores! I'm sure Farrell would have preferred Ashton to get closer to the posts instead of going for the Ash Splash -  Farrell cannot convert it which is very unlike the England No.10!

  • Ulster 3-5 Saracens
Good to see Alex Goode up and about on the touchline with his team mates. On the field Tommy Bowe looks to break down the touchline after he pounces on a  poor Sarries pass.

    4/5/2014 6:24:59 PM
  • [half-time] Ulster 9-5 Saracens
For me that was a yellow but you can see why the ref gave a red. there is a duty of care if you go up and contest for the ball. The injury has played a part in the decision but for me  the first instinct is that it was a yellow card.
Alan Quinlan on Jared Payne's red card

  • I cannot be prouder of a group of players. To play for 75 minutes  with 14 players and to lose by two points is just an unbelievable performance. The passion and the commitment that they showed out there just shows the quality of this side. They were unbelievable.
    Ulster skipper Johann Muller
    4/5/2014 7:37:26 PM
  • We made too many errors and gave too many penalties away. That gave Ulster opportunities and shots in goals. Playing into that wind in the first half and coming into the first half with that scoreline we were disappointed with some elements of it but we felt we were in a good position. We manged to force them into their own half which gave us opportunities by keeping some sustained pressure on Ulster. I am privileged to be part of a fantastic group of people; a group of people who will fight exceptionally hard for each other. We know we were not perfect tonight but one thing we will do is fight until the very end and we did that. we can feel very proud that we did that against a very good Ulster team!
    Saracens skipper Steve Borthwick
