  • Toulon were deserving winners, there is no doubt about that. Their fans played their part - they were a bit quite in the first half but once that try game they burst into excitement. The power game from Toulon was exceptional. every tackle they stopped them dead, Leinster could not get over the gainline. Toulon made line break after line break to Leinster's one.

  • It is always difficult losing. we knew the challenge we would have coming over here and we knew we would have to be  accurate. We simply weren't and they capitalised on it. They conteolld the game very well and took their scores very well - they deserved their win.

  • This was massive - not just for us but for the whole of Toulon. Leinster are past champions as well and we had a point to prove. we have not been [playing well and we had to come out and give it something. we wanted to show people that we want to be here and we deserve to be here. At half-time a few of the senior boys came out and said that we have to stop  these 50-50's and we have to stay in control and remain calm. All we had to be was patient and the holes were going to come. There is still a lot we have to improve on but we are getting there.
