  • [recommend] WELCOME!
Plenty of NatWest T20 Blast action going on this evening around the country (weather permitting of course). The highlight is undoubtedly the Roses Match at Headingley which sees Yorkshire looking for a second win over Lancashire this month. Three more games are due to start at 5:30pm; Somerset v Essex, Gloucestershire v Kent and Worcestershire v Nottinghamshire. At 6:30 Surrey host Hampshire and Northants take on Durham, and the latest starts at 7:00 see Sussex face Middlesex and Derbyshire host Warwickshire.

  • So things are starting to look up around the country, and we're hopeful this bad weather will clear Headingley in time for at least a limited limited limited overs clash.

  • Mixed bag then - isn't it just typical the biggest game of the night is subject to the worst weather. But at least Sky Sports 2 HD viewers get to listen to Wardy, Bumble and Vaughany. Covers are still on at Headingley and the brollies are up.

  • Beginning to feel a lot more like Michael Fish than a cricket blogger this evening, but we can tell you Kent have reached 27-0 after 4 overs against Gloucestershire at Bristol. Rob Key has 12 and Daniel Bell-Drummond 10. Solid start for the Spitfires.

  • The Blotter is putting in a decent shift - still waiting for the rain to relent here at Headingley. @NatWestT20Blast http://pbs.twimg.com/media/BrJrG7xIAAAz4BT.png
  • [wicket] KENT ONE DOWN
We might as well report it as Headingley remains out of action. Key's innings is over for 14 off 14 balls - caught by Graeme McCarter off the bowling of David Payne.

  • Rain still persistent at Headingley. Things are not looking at all good at the moment. We can but keep our fingers crossed there will be a chance for some Finch Fireworks and Buttler Bashes.
