  • Buttler c Ambrose b Hannon-Dalby 11 [wicket]

Simplest of catches for Ambrose as Buttler snicks through attempting to drive through the off-side
    8/23/2014 8:06:08 PM
  • Over 13 - Lancs 103-4 (Brown 23, Croft 1)
Hannon-Dalby time rarely disappoints and he does his skipper proud, conceding just three off his first four balls before dismissing Buttler - a wicket that, in Vaughan's view, has tilted the balance of power very much in Birmingham's favour. No wonder they're belting out 'Hey Jude' in the stands.
    8/23/2014 8:07:53 PM
  • Over 14 - Lancs 114-4 (Brown 33, Croft 2)
Clarke's cooking up a number of varieties here, beating Brown with a top-spinner that bounces only to see his back-of-the-hand slower ball disappear for six - Brown belting it far afield.
    8/23/2014 8:11:19 PM
  • Horton c Ambrose b Patel 1 [wicket]

Rob Bailey's finger goes up but Horton - arms outstretched - stands his ground for an interminable time before walking off, demonstrably displeased
    8/23/2014 8:13:17 PM
  • Over 15 - Lancs 120-5 (Brown 34, Horton 1)
So here's how we stand. Lancashire need 62 to win off 30 balls. Another clever over from Hannon-Dalby, who isn't bowling any two deliveries the same pace. Croft got away with one that just looped over Woakes at backward point but there his luck run out, Hannon-Dalby beating him all ends up as he swatted at thin air.
    8/23/2014 8:15:32 PM
  • Over 16 - Lancs 132-6 (Brown 39, Clark 7)
That was poor from Horton, who may not have agreed with the caught behind decision but looked rather foolish as he refused to go. New man Clark drags his foot but just gets back before Ambrose whips off the bails and survives to crack six of the best next ball.
    8/23/2014 8:21:21 PM
  • Over 17 - Lancs 139-6 (Brown 43, Clark 9)
Hannon-Dalby continues to tie up an end and even his full toss doesn't go to the boundary, Brown rather clothing it giving Bell time to get around and field at long on. Figures of 2-16 off three overs tell their own tale. It'll be Woakes to bowl the 18th over. 43 runs needed off 18 balls.
    8/23/2014 8:24:26 PM
  • The end of Buttler... removed by Hannon-Dalby

    8/23/2014 8:26:14 PM
  • Brown b Woakes 55 [wicket]

That's pretty much the perfect yorker and Brown has no answer to it. A cracking camoe, that. Flintoff in with 30 needed off 13 balls.
    8/23/2014 8:28:14 PM
  • Over 18 - Lancs 153-7 (Clark 10, Flintoff 1)
Evans - who dropped Brown on one - must be a mightily relieved man. Brown looked in imperious form, reaching his fifty off 26 balls with a slogged six. The crowd erupts at the entrance of Flintoff, who gets off the mark with a single.
    8/23/2014 8:29:25 PM
  • Clark c Bell b Hannon-Dalby 10 [wicket]

Safe-hands Bell keeps cool to pouch the catch at long on. The batsmen crossed so Flintoff is facing.
    8/23/2014 8:31:14 PM
  • Over 19 - Lancs 168-8 (Flintoff 15, Parry 1)
Stand-and-deliver stuff from Flintoff, who pumps Hannon-Dalby over long off for six and follows it up with another maximum over midwicket. This is going down to the last over - 14 runs needed off six balls.
    8/23/2014 8:33:19 PM
  • Over 20...
Flintoff gets motoring and runs a bye to the 'keeper as Woakes beats Parry with a full length delivery. 13 needed off five balls. Lancs 169-8
    8/23/2014 8:34:33 PM
  • Ball 2: Flintoff, standing way back in his crease, aims a crushing blow down the ground and picks up two. 11 needed off four.
    8/23/2014 8:35:15 PM
  • Ball 3: That's another two as Flintoff pumps a low full toss out in the direction of the midwicket boundary. Nine needed off three.
    8/23/2014 8:35:55 PM
  • Ball 4: Terrific bowling from Woakes, who limits Flintoff to just a single with another yorker. Eight runs needed off two balls.
    8/23/2014 8:36:31 PM
  • Ball 5: Parry advances and cracks Woakes through the covers for two. So six are needed off the final ball and Flintoff is off strike.

  • BIRMINGHAM BEARS ARE @NatWestT20Blast champions as they beat Lancashire Lightning by four runs on #FinalsDay . www1.skysports.com/live-scores/cr…
  • Lancashire finish on 177-8 off their 20 overs as Parry aims big down the ground but can't connect properly. Flintoff looks dejected - the story that got away - as the Bears celebrate their first T20 triumph amid the backdrop of fireworks erupting around the ground.
    8/23/2014 8:40:36 PM
  • There will be some chat as to whether Lancashire should have been awarded six bonus runs but the view has been taken that the Bears were in place in time to bowl their final over. That debate is done and dusted now and we're waiting for the stage to set up so Athers can oversee the presentation.
