  • [goal]ASTON VILLA 2-2 WEST BROM (Bacuna)
This is getting ridiculous now. We've barely had a quarter of the game and it is 2-2. Benteke is challenged on the edge of the box and the ball breaks to Lowton. His low cross gives an open goal to Bacuna, who does his best to miss by scuffing his shot into his own face before watching with relief as the ball loops over the line. Mad goal. Mad game.
    1/29/2014 8:09:30 PM
  • CHELSEA 0-0 WEST HAM
The Blues are on top at the moment and Hazard has a cross blocked but his appeals for handball against Demel are turned down. Ramires is then narrowly off-target with a rocket from 25 yards out.[chelsea]

  • SCOTTISH UPDATE
Celtic 2-0 Kilmarnock: James Forrest causes chaos again with a jinking run and his cross is turned into his own net by Lee Ashcroft.

Aston Villa are level and Matt Murray finds Bacuna's equaliser comical [astonvilla]
    1/29/2014 8:11:45 PM
  • CHELSEA 0-0 WEST HAM
[ouch]After wholeheartedly chasing the ball, poor old Diame hits the hoarding and collapses into the spectators! He is hobbling a bit but hopefully will recover.

  • Fabian Delph in despair after putting through his own net to make it 2-0 to West Brom - but things have improved for Villa since then!

    1/29/2014 8:14:45 PM
  • TOTTENHAM 0-1 MAN CITY
City want a penalty. They feel Bentaleb handled in the box to block Dzeko's volley from a corner. The referee disagrees with them.
    1/29/2014 8:15:14 PM
  • CHELSEA 0-0 WEST HAM
[injury]No, Diame has not been able to run off that knock. He hobbles down the tunnel and Jarvis comes off the bench.

  • TOTTENHAM 0-1 MAN CITY
Bentaleb almost makes an impact in the other box as he meets an Eriksen corner at the near post but his glancing header flashes across the face of goal and wide.
    1/29/2014 8:17:02 PM
  • SUNDERLAND 1-0 STOKE
[save]Crouch causes trouble in the home area and Mannone spills a cross but the keeper redeems himself by beating away Crouch's shot and then easily saving his follow-up effort.

  • You wouldn't have known he was out there. He hasn't had a touch of the ball.
Kammy's not impressed with Peter Odemwingie's Stoke debut so far....[chriskamara]
    1/29/2014 8:18:29 PM
  • SUNDERLAND 1-0 STOKE
[yellow-card]Nzoni goes into the book for pulling back Altidore. Stoke easily deal with the subsequent free-kick.
    1/29/2014 8:19:31 PM
  • TOTTENHAM 0-1 MAN CITY
Danny Rose is proving Spurs' chief attacking weapon so far. He ins a free-kick out wide after being brought down by Yaya Toure and it nearly leads to an equaliser. Eriksen fires the free-kick to the back post where Dawson side-foots into the net, but the cheers are cut short by a flag for offside against the defender.

  • SUNDERLAND 1-0 STOKE
Cameron heads over the bar at the back post from a corner as Stoke continue to enjoy a decent spell. [stoke]

  • [goal]ASTON VILLA 3-2 WEST BROM (Delph)
I was just about to say that we hadn't had a goal at Villa Park in a while. Well, Villa have sorted that out. And what a goal it is as well. Fabian Delph goes from villain to hero in spectacular style by collecting the ball on the edge of the box, beating his man with a neat dummy and then smashing a shot against the bar and in. That is how you turn a 2-0 deficit around in a half.
    1/29/2014 8:22:21 PM
  • SUNDERLAND 1-0 STOKE
[save]Stoke close again! Adam picks out Shawcross at the back post but the defender's close-range header is straight at Mannone, who is able to beat the ball away.
    1/29/2014 8:24:29 PM
  • What a goal this is. Unbelievable. Tightish angle, 16-17 yards out and he absolutely hammers it in off the underside of the bar.
What a game we're having at Villa Park and Matt Murray was suitably impressed with that third goal for the home side. [astonvilla]

  • Weimann got Villa's amazing comeback underway

    1/29/2014 8:25:18 PM
  • SUNDERLAND 1-0 STOKE
[yellow-card]Foot a little high there from Adam and he goes into the book.
    1/29/2014 8:26:01 PM
  • CHELSEA  0-0 WEST HAM
Chelsea struggling to create chances against an obdurate Hammers side and Hazard has a shot blocked before putting another effort straight at Adrian. Mourinho looking a little frustrated on the touch-line.
    1/29/2014 8:27:13 PM
  • ASTON VILLA 3-2 WEST BROM
It should be 4-2 to Villa. And it is unbelievable that were typing that before half-time. Benteke beats his man in the air and then cuts past another to give himself just the keeper to beat but Foster somehow deflects the shot wide. Ridiculous.
    1/29/2014 8:27:47 PM
  • [charlienicholas]I want sexy football. I want Willian and Hazard on the ball, but West Ham have been very clever and out so much traffic in there.
Still no goals at Stamford Bridge and Charlie's craving some sexy football...

    1/29/2014 8:28:16 PM
  • [goal]ASTON VILLA 3-3 WEST BROM (Mulumbu)
This game! It twists and turns like a... twisty turny thing. If Villa had any thoughts of making it to half-time 3-2 ahead then they can scratch them because Mulumbu has just latched on to a neat Morrison pass through the home defence to slot a shot under Guzan and in. We've had 43 minutes and it is 3-3. Yes, 3-3!
    1/29/2014 8:28:26 PM
  • CHELSEA 0-0 WEST HAM
[save]Well done Adrian, who throws out a right leg to block John Terry's downward header from a right-wing corner.
    1/29/2014 8:29:51 PM
  • Villa keeper Brad Guzan wasn't celebrating their third goal for long as West Brom equalise within five minutes 3-3 at Villa Park! [astonvilla]

    1/29/2014 8:31:24 PM
  • TOTTENHAM 0-1 MAN CITY
City look to add to their lead before the break but Demichelis heads Navas' cross wide. Just before that City scorer Aguero was forced off with what looked like a hamstring injury. Jovetic replaced him. Even with their wealth of riches, that remains a blow to City.
    1/29/2014 8:32:59 PM
  • CHELSEA 0-0 WEST HAM
[save]Adrian saves West Ham again! This time the keeper flies to his left to keep out a really well-struck effort from Eto'o.

The craziest of crazy halves comes to an end. It has not stopped raining at Villa Park; both goals and actual water. Villa were 2-0 down, then 3-2 ahead before West Brom levelled matters again. Welcome to English football derbies Pepe Mel.

  • [half-time]TOTTENHAM 0-1 MAN CITY
Aguero has given City the lead before limping off the field with what looks like a hamstring injury. That is both the good and bad for Man City. Tottenham have huffed and puffed but lack their opponents' class. As it stands, Pellegrini's men are going top.
