  • ASTON VILLA 4-3 WEST BROM
Villa sub Sylla is a lucky boy. He leaves a foot in on Baggies replacement Amalfitano, who goes down in the box and should probably have a penalty. The ref either doesn't see it or doesn't see anything wrong. Let off for Villa with around five minutes to go.

    1/29/2014 9:29:57 PM
  • CHELSEA 0-0 WEST HAM
Hazard and Lampard conspire before the latter shoots. However, West Ham have got bodies back in huge numbers and the shot is blocked away again.
    1/29/2014 9:31:01 PM
  • SUNDERLAND 1-0 STOKE
More nervy moments for Sunderland as a Wes Brown clearance goes just wide of his own post.
    1/29/2014 9:31:54 PM
  • TOTTENHAM 1-4 MAN CITY
How have City not made it 5-1?! They break down the right and Jovetic is in space in the box but the cross is behind him and he cannot steer his shot with enough power. The ball then falls to sub Kolarov but his shot deflects off Lloris and flashes past the far post.
    1/29/2014 9:32:09 PM
  • [goal]TOTTENHAM 1-5 MAN CITY (Kompany)
It is 5-1 now. A corner is swung over and drops at the feet of Dzeko, who fires a shot that deflects off Bentaleb and falls perfectly for Vincent Kompany to poke in. It has all gone City's way tonight.
    1/29/2014 9:32:34 PM
  • CHELSEA 0-0 WEST HAM
A Ba shot is blocked, Chelsea work a corner routine and Willian's cross ... drifts too high for everybody!
    1/29/2014 9:34:00 PM
  • CHELSEA 0-0 WEST HAM
[injury]O'Brien has picked up a nasty-looking injury to his arm and has had to leave the fray.
    1/29/2014 9:35:40 PM
  • SUNDERLAND 1-0 STOKE
[full-time]Begovic denied Colback late on but it doesn't matter to Sunderland, who have won 1-0 and will climb out of the drop zone.
    1/29/2014 9:35:54 PM
  • ASTON VILLA 4-3 WEST BROM
West Brom are pushing for an equaliser but Villa are holding out. Lugano is twice denied, firstly by a Villa head to stop him getting contact on a right-wing cross and then by his own shortcomings as he heads wide from the resulting corner. Time is running out for the Baggies.

  • CHELSEA 0-0 WEST HAM
Hammers holding on desperately! Ba connects with Hazard's deflected cross but the ball hits the near post. Hazard then puts another effort over the bar.
    1/29/2014 9:38:11 PM
  • [full-time]TOTTENHAM 1-5 MAN CITY
Tottenham will be glad to see the back of Manchester City. They have put 11 past them this season. There were extenuating circumstances for this hammering - chiefly Rose's sending off - and they were certainly not embarrassed as they were at the Etihad but they were outclassed by a City side who have stormed to the top of the table.
    1/29/2014 9:38:38 PM
  • It was a thriller at Villa Park but the home side take all three points thanks to a late Christian Benteke penalty.

    1/29/2014 9:38:41 PM
  • CHELSEA 0-0 WEST HAM
[save]Yet another Hazard shot but Adrian blocks it and then gratefully grabs the ball under heavy pressure.
    1/29/2014 9:40:15 PM
  • [full-time]ASTON VILLA 4-3 WEST BROM
An amazing Midlands derby comes to an end with Villa the victors but that only tells half the story. West Brom led 2-0 in the first 10 minutes before Villa stormed back to lead 3-2 only for the Baggies to level, all before the break. Benteke's second-half penalty won it for the home side. We're tired just thinking about it..
    1/29/2014 9:40:28 PM
  • CHELSEA 0-0 WEST HAM
[save]Stunning stop! Adrian foils Lampard brilliantly with his left foot from Hazard's cross. Great display from the Hammers keeper tonight!
    1/29/2014 9:41:26 PM
  • CHELSEA 0-0 WEST HAM
[full-time]A great defensive effort from West Ham, who even survived a bizarre late moment when Adrian put the ball down for a free-kick and Eto'o raced in and smacked it into the net. No chance of him getting away with that one!
    1/29/2014 9:41:39 PM
  • Oh my goodness what a save!! I think it's all over, why Frank Lampard didn't finish that...

  • Manchester City move top of the table with win at Spurs. Chelsea fail to make the most of Arsenal dropping points at Southampton and stay third. Tottenham remain outside the top four and Aston Villa move up to 10th.

    1/29/2014 9:44:37 PM
  • Sunderland creep out of the relegation zone with win over Stoke who are 16th. West Ham's draw at Chelsea keeps them in the bottom three and West Brom move closer to the drop zone.

  • SAM'S STRONG WORDS
How many times did you see Chelsea players surrounding the referee waving their arms and trying to put pressure on him to make a decision go their way. I think the ref stood up to that pressure enormously well. It showed how desperate Chelsea were getting when that they had to resort to those tactics.

  • HUGHES UNHAPPY WITH RED CARD
We totally dominated tonight with 11 men and 10 men. We were hampered by a poor decision by the referee from my point of view.
[stoke] Mark Hughes wasn't impressed with Stephen N'Zonzi's red card in 1-0 loss to Sunderland.

  • JOSE FRUSTRATED WITH 0-0 DRAW [chelsea]
I was waiting for a little bit of danger in my box. I was waiting for the other team to try and score a goal. We could be here five hours maybe we could score one goal, they couldn't. If I was at home watching this game I would have turned off for sure or switched over to another match.
