  • England team news: England have made three changes in their squad. Canterbury Bulldogs prop James Graham is recalled after missing the opening game for suspected disciplinary reasons (although England coach Steve McNamara refused to confirm why Graham was absent against Australia). Wigan forward Sean O'Loughlin returns in place of the suspended Sam Burgess, while Tom Briscoe gets a chance on the wing as Josh Charnley is carrying a minor shoulder problem.

  • Ireland team news: Warrington youngster James Mendeika will deputise for Scott Grix at full-back for Ireland as the Huddersfield Giant has failed to shake off a thigh strain sustained against Fiji. Ireland are also without Widnes prop Eamon O'Carroll, who picked up a shoulder injury in the defeat by the Fijians, but Aston expects to have former Huddersfield second-rower Simon Finnigan back after he sat out the opening game with a hamstring problem.

  • Ryan Hall try (England 24-0 Ireland) Hall has a 22-minute hat-trick. That is five tries already for England's wingers. England are keeping the ball alive at every opportunity and there are holes everywhere in Ireland's defence. Looked like a forward pass from Kallum Watkins to Kevin Sinfield in the build-up but wasn't spotted. Cudjoe again delivered Hall with the scoring pass.
