    There was a major upset in the Capital One Cup last night as Chelsea crashed out to Sunderland after Ki Sung-Yueng’s dramatic late winner in extra-time, and Jose Mourinho was typically blunt in his assessment of what went wrong. 
    We never lost a match because the opponent is stronger than us. We don't kill the opponent, we give them life. It's always the same.

Tim Sherwood is in interim charge for their Capital One Cup clash against London rivals West Ham tonight, but speculation continues to surround who will get the job on a permanent basis. Murat Yakin had emerged as a surprise candidate, but Swiss club Basel have denied that contact has been made with their coach.

Allardyce, also under pressure following a disappointing run of results, is looking for a repeat performance of the 3-0 win away to Spurs in the Premier League. 
    Obviously they had a poor result on Saturday and ultimately the board have removed AVB. That's a surprise to me but we know they still have an excellent team.
