I thought this may come in the summer and not this quick but it just feels right for me. There’s probably no club I would have gone to apart from this one. It just feels absolutely right for me.
McDermott says he has picked himself up after the disappointment of being sacked by Reading is focused on moving forward with Leeds.
I had to pick myself up for about three days. After that, I just wanted to move forward. That’s how football is. Obviously it was a shock to me at the time. But all I’m doing now is looking forward and looking ahead.

I actually would like to return to the Estadio da Luz (Benfica's stadium), where I was very happy but if I was to play against Benfica, I would prefer it to be in the final. It would be wonderful to see my friends again and the club, who I am greatly associated with. Now we will work hard to see that it happens. It won't be easy for us or for Benfica.

In our latest Football League Spotlight, Chris Burton catches up with Tranmere goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams as he talks play-off hopes, third tier competition and future plans.
We have played MK Dons and I think they are the best team we have played against all season. But there is nothing to say that they will go up or that they will get a play-off spot. It could be absolutely anyone. You look at Doncaster, everyone thought they are going up, all of a sudden you have got your Bournemouths, Brentford, all of these teams looking at automatic. I wouldn't like to say who is definitely in the mix.
