    Christian Benteke insists he will leave Aston Villa if one of the Premier League's top clubs wants to sign him. Benteke was one of the stars of the season, scoring 19 goals to help keep Villa in the top flight.
    If Aston Villa say I must stay, I won't necessarily accept that. I do not in any way want to feel I didn't get the most out of my career. I try to get everything.

    Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano has revealed that the Premier League club want to win five trophies over the next five years, having sacked Roberto Mancini after finishing second in the table and losing the FA Cup final this season.
    If next year we don't win, but progress our football and get to the semi-finals of the Champions League, finish second in the Premier League and lose the FA Cup final again, that will be fine.

    Staying on the Everton theme, midfielder Marouane Fellaini has warned Manchester United's players they will not get an easy ride under new boss David Moyes.
    He is a decent man, a great manager, but believe me he can be tough. If you want to win something, to create a good team you have to be hard sometimes with the players - football is like this. He can be scary.

    Friday's 19th stage of the Giro d'Italia has been cancelled due to bad weather. The stage had already been significantly amended after heavy snow and low temperatures on the Stelvio and Gavia passes made them unrideable.

    Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that he has no fear of failure, with the manager widely expected to be appointed at Manchester City in the near future.
    This doesn't mean I am not as demanding of myself, nor that I think I have nothing more to achieve. Quite the contrary - I am my own harshest critic. Everyone has fears, what is important is to overcome them and not to freeze.

    Liverpool chairman Tom Werner says the club's board have been pleased with the efforts of manager Brendan Rodgers in his first season at Anfield. The Reds finished seventh in the Premier League this season - one place higher than in 2011/12 - but Werner believes they are well placed to improve on that next term.
    I think Brendan has made remarkable progress. He's a great strategist and has shown strong leadership as he has led the team through this season.

    [ssn] Former England manager Steve McClaren, who had a spell in the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg, is well placed to provide analysis on Bayern Munich on Borussia Dortmund ahead of the Champions League final.
    I think Bayern have gone to another level. They can keep the ball as well as Barcelona but can also counter-attack as well as Dortmund, so they have the full game. I think Dortmund are limited to being compact, being organised, winning the ball and transitioning as quickly as possible.
