Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic feels the Red Devils deserve more credit for their domestic dominance this season after opening up a 15-point lead at the top of the Premier League.  Sir Alex Ferguson's men are already the first side to record 25 wins in their first 30 fixtures and it is possible that they could end the campaign with the most points, most victories and biggest winning margin.
If you have those stats, you cannot argue. I feel we have played well this year. Okay, maybe we can improve certain things but, if you look at the team performance this year, I think it is better than any other season.

If Gloucester don't make mistakes and keep hold of the ball then they should win this one. I would not say comfortably as Biarritz do have some form, and will really attack Gloucester's pack who have had a few scrummaging issues, however I think Gloucester will hold out.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is convinced that Theo Walcott will soon rediscover his touch in front of goal and has rejected suggestions the winger has become complacent since signing a new deal at the club.
He didn't play well and had not signed a contract, then people would say the opposite. I don't think that is linked, especially with the fact that he has signed a contract or not. Because you can say as well he is more secure, he can express himself. At Bayern he didn't have the greatest game, but he still brought the goal. He will come back.

[graemesouness]Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness has been speaking to Sky Sports News about last night's UEFA Champions League action. He does not believe Real Madrid's Xabi Alonso and Sergio Ramos were deliberately seeking yellow cards against Galatasaray in the quarter-final first leg in order to miss the second leg and arrive clear of cards for the semi-final.
I don’t think so. I think that would be a high-risk strategy. I think, even though Real Madrid were 3-0 up, that’s a pretty high-risk strategy if you’re going down that road. It’s impossible to prove.
Out of the teams left in Europe's top club competition, Souness feels four-time winners Barcelona have the edge, but admits defensive weaknesses could hinder them.
There’s always something to enjoy about Barcelona, whenever they play. For me, Lionel Messi is the best that’s ever played the game. Deep down I’ve got to believe it’s Barcelona, but I do worry about them defensively.
Souness also looked towards Newcastle's UEFA Europa League quarter-final first leg with Benfica this evening and insists Alan Pardew's men must keep one eye on their Premier League campaign, with safety not yet guranteed.
They find themselves in difficult situation because they’ve got to be looking over their shoulder, they’re not safe yet. But at the same time they’ve got a glamorous tie with Benfica. They have to have one eye on keeping their Premier League status. That would be a disaster for them to drop out of that league.

Reading are rock-bottom of the Premier League and eight points adrift of safety but Hal Robson-Kanu has warned the Royals' relegation rivals the fight for survival is not over yet.
The season doesn't end at 31 games, it ends at 38. We need to make the most of every single one, and that starts on Saturday.
New manager Nigel Adkins has pleaded for patience from the fans as he looks to implement his ideas on the pitch, asking them to lay off the players.
I want the players to pass the ball and to do that there needs to be no reprisals if they give the ball away. It is a decision-making process to pass it and sometimes the ball will go astray. They've got to know they can do that with the supporters being appreciative of the way they want to go and play and being supportive of them. I know we'll get that because everyone - if you're a Reading supporter, you just want Reading Football club to do well.

[graemesouness]Here's more from Graeme Souness on last night's UEFA Champions League action, with the Sky Sports pundit critical of Galatasaray's defending in their 3-0 defeat to Real Madrid last night, particularly Emmanuel Eboue's role in the opening goal.
It was all too easy for them. After nine minutes they were 1-0 down and you're thinking the worst because this Madrid team, when they get on top, can put you to the sword. But what was Eboue doing for that opener? There was no one wide of him so he should get in and hold hands with his centre back. But that was downright poor defending.

[glennhoddle]Glenn Hoddle has been speaking to Sky Sports News about the role David Beckham played in Paris St Germain's 2-2 draw with Barcelona on Tuesday night. The former England captain failed to impress the French media but ex-Three Lions boss Hoddle, who gave Beckham his England debut in 1996, believes he did well in the 68 minutes he played.
The one thing I love about David Beckham is he’s still got the eagerness and the love of the game and the enthusiasm to play. He loves football. That’s the main ingredient for him. He did very well the other night, he sustained it for 68 minutes. Barcelona are vulnerable against set plays so you’d imagine that David would start in the second leg as well.
Hoddle has identified Barca and Bayern Munich as the teams to watch in the competition as it reaches its conclusion.
Barcelona showed what they can do against AC Milan in the second leg, which was a real test for them, being 2-0 down. When they’re pushed to the extreme, they can do it. For me as well, Bayern Munich. They look very strong, defensively, physically and technically. They do look as if they can take Barcelona on.

Marseille coach Elie Baup says Joey Barton remains a key member of his squad despite the midfielder having angered club chiefs by labelling Paris St Germain defender Thiago Silva an "overweight ladyboy" in an online tirade.
I am the coach of OM and I have to intervene (only) on larger matters. The communication of individual players is their own responsibility. I have a boss and a direction. Barton holds an important place in the team and I make decisions in the game - for example, that he (Barton) did not start against Nice (last weekend). That is my responsibility. Beyond that, it does not concern me.

People are talking about the results QPR have had and the points they have and I don't feel it gives a true representation. You look at the performances they have had since January, when they renewed the squad, and it's not a squad that deserves to be where it is in the table.
