    [ssn]Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson has told Sky Sports News he is looking forward to returning to training and being fit for the start of the new season after developing a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lung) following a back operation in March.
    Luckily I went to see a chest expert yesterday and she X-rayed my chest again and my chest looks clear. I've been given the go-ahead to start physical training again, which is really positive for me because I can start my fitness training.

    Manager Alan Pardew has received the support of the Newcastle United board despite a miserable showing in the Premier League. Managing director Derek Llambias has been discussing the subject.
    It's up to us all now to work closely as a team to ensure next season sees us competing in the top half of the table again. Everyone connected with the club was disappointed to finish where we did last season, particularly on the back of such a fantastic year prior to that.
