  • TEAM NEWS
At Grace Road, Leicestershire have won the toss and opted to bat against Worcestershire. Just five minutes until the first two matches of the night start.

    6/6/2014 4:27:57 PM
  • FAST START
Both matches are now under way. After two overs Leicestershire (16-0) and Glamorgan (14-0) have each made decent starts to their innings. Glamorgan skipper Jim Allenby has already helped himself to two boundaries at Taunton.
    6/6/2014 4:38:45 PM
  • BIG HITTING
[6]The Foxes move onto 32-0 after three overs when Josh Cobb smacks Jack Shantry for a six, a four and a six in consecutive balls. The opener has swiftly moved to 25 from 14 balls.
    6/6/2014 4:44:37 PM
  • WICKET!
[wicket]Cobb falls after adding just two more runs, Shantry gaining his revenge by catching him off the bowling of Chris Russell for 27. Niall O'Brien quickly gets to work by hitting a six three balls later to move Leicestershire to 43-1 in the fifth over.
    6/6/2014 4:48:54 PM
  • RAMPANT RUSSELL
[wicket]Russell strikes again for Worcestershire. The seamer has now removed both openers after having O'Brien caught by Daryl Mitchell for 15 from 10 balls. The Foxes are now on 48-2 after six overs.

    6/6/2014 4:53:35 PM
  • GOOD FOR GLAMORGAN
Glamorgan are having no such problems at Taunton, with Allenby moving on to an unbeaten 41 as the visitors reach 56-0 after seven overs. Jacques Rudolph is still in the middle with Allenby having made a rather more subdued 18 from 19.
    6/6/2014 4:58:10 PM
  • [mikeatherton] Well played Tom Smith - what a powerplay's he'd had. Yorkshire didn't know where to bowl to him and Yorkshire have raced to 65-1 from six overs

    6/6/2014 5:01:15 PM
  • Lancashire, with Jos Buttler in their XI have won the toss and will bat first at Old Trafford. Join us now on SS2 #Roses #T20
  • They can't agree on a winner but Bumble & Vaughan are predicting sixes galore!

    6/6/2014 5:06:39 PM
  • LEICETSERSHIRE v WORCESTERSHIRE
[wicket]Greg Smith (24) and Ned Eckersley (24) had led the recovery for the Foxes until the former was removed at the end of the 11th over, caught and bowled by Mitchell. Then with the first ball of the next over Eckersley is removed! Mitchell again provides the catch but Colin Munro is the bowler this time. Leicestershire now 93-4.
    6/6/2014 5:11:32 PM
  • SOMERSET v GLAMORGAN
[50]Allenby is still going strong for Glamorgan having reached his half-century . He is currently unbeaten on 56 with Glamorgan on 106-1 in the 14th over. Rudolph, however, has departed for 40.
    6/6/2014 5:18:02 PM
  • Lanky is getting the 14,000 inside Old Trafford in the mood

    6/6/2014 5:22:07 PM
  • READY TO GO
We are almost ready for the two marquee clashes of the evening to start: The Roses clash between Lancashire and Yorkshire always takes the limelight, while Kevin Pietersen is back in action for Surrey against Essex. Warwickshire v Durham also starts at 6.30pm
    6/6/2014 5:23:38 PM
  • The countdown has finished and play is about to start. Tim Bresnan will bowl the first over for Yorkshire.
    6/6/2014 5:29:25 PM
  • OVER 1: LANCASHIRE 8-0 (SMITH 7, DAVIES 1)
Tom Smith pulls the second ball away for three and then cuts the fifth square of the wicket for the first boundary of the evening. Alex Davies also gets off the mark with a single.
    6/6/2014 5:33:06 PM
  • OVER 2: LANCASHIRE 17-0 (SMITH 14, DAVIES 2)
Jack Brooks takes the second over for Yorkshire. No further boundaries come for Lancashire but Smith and Davies do rotate the strike well, even if the former is a little fortunate to get away with a thick outside edge through backward point.
    6/6/2014 5:37:41 PM
  • Nasser's current Batting Index after his knock at @CookyBenefit this week #yorked http://pbs.twimg.com/media/BpdtrJKIgAAzeLV.jpg

  • OVER 3: LANCASHIRE 24-0 (SMITH 20, DAVIES 3)
A bit of spin now as Adam Lyth comes on. Smith smacks his first ball down the ground for four but he manages to keep it quite tidy for the rest of the over.
    6/6/2014 5:40:32 PM
  • Vaughan is not concerned by this flying start from @LancsCCC : "They're going to need them all."
  • OVER 4: LANCASHIRE 41-0 (SMITH 35, DAVIES 5)
[6]Brooks stays in the attack and sees his first ball disappear over the ropes as Smith pulls a short one into the stands. The next one is pitched up and Smith dispatches it for four, before giving the next ball the same treatment. Davies tries to get in on the act but cannot strike it as cleanly and it plugs in the ground for two runs.
    6/6/2014 5:44:10 PM
  • OVER 5: LANCASHIRE 58-1 (SMITH 52, BROWN 0)
[wicket]Richard Pyrah comes into the attack and sees his first three balls disappear through the off side for four, courtesy of Smith. The left-hander then hits another boundary down the ground to bring up his fifty in just 22 balls. Davies cannot follow suit and chips an easy catch to Bresnan at mid-off to depart for 5.
    6/6/2014 5:48:32 PM
  • SURREY v ESSEX
Surrey have lost their first wicket at The Oval, which means Kevin Pietersen has come to the crease with the score at 35-1.
    6/6/2014 5:50:23 PM
  • SOMERSET v GLAMORGAN
Glamorgan have completed their 20 overs at Taunton... and Allenby has finished just four runs short of a century. The opener ended the innings unbeaten on 96 off 59 balls as the Welsh side reached 176-3.
    6/6/2014 5:52:37 PM
  • OVER 6: LANCASHIRE 65-1 (SMITH 53, BROWN 6)
Lancashire complete their powerplay with a relatively tame over, even if it did include a boundary from new batsman Karl Brown.
    6/6/2014 5:54:06 PM
  • OVER 7: LANCASHIRE 68-2 (BROWN 7, HORTON 0)
[wicket]Unbelievable! Smith tries to smack Adil Rashid down the ground but Lyth manages to take the ball diving backwards over the rope and have the presence of mind to toss it to Finch, who completes the catch. A great knock by Smith and an even better way for Yorkshire to end it. Smith goes for 55 off 28 balls.
    6/6/2014 5:58:18 PM
  • Incredible catch from Lyth & Finch to see the back of Smith. Electric start at Old Trafford. Lancs 69-2 (7.2ovs)
  • Wow! That was probably the best catch I have ever seen...and from Yorkshire as well. Difficult to admit to as a Lancastrian! @Skycricket
