The F365 Transfer Blog - Thursday July 31

  • Vidal's not that amazing, btw. Roy Keane would've done him!
    7/31/2014 11:18:27 AM
  • Shurrle is too good to be coming off the bench for any team imo.
    7/31/2014 11:18:43 AM
  • Le Figaro in France are linking André Ayew with AC Milan. 'Arry might need to get in there sharpish
    7/31/2014 11:18:46 AM
  • "Schurrle? Pah, he is not motivated" quotes from Jose, specially procured from the future
    7/31/2014 11:19:12 AM
  • Blind transfer would make so much sense, competition for 'unfit' youngster Shaw and cover for midfield until Strootman in January
    7/31/2014 11:20:27 AM
  • Schurrle would be a tremendous signing for any club. I'd say he's ahead of our Little Pea in the "striker-who-would-start-for-almost-any-other-team" stakes.
    7/31/2014 11:20:39 AM
  • I agree Vermaelen bid seems iminent, RVP and him having a mint time in Barbados i.dailymail.co.uk

    7/31/2014 11:20:48 AM
  • By my reckoning we're coming to the end of week 3 of LVG's "4 weeks to assess the players". Expect the first "shipping out" to occur next week. There's bound to be at least one "suprise" exit, who do F365 reckon? I think maybe Wellbeck
    7/31/2014 11:21:36 AM
  • Still fancy Welbeck to go to Everton or somewhere...maybe on loan.
    7/31/2014 11:21:57 AM
  • Can't see LvG letting Welbeck go anywhere. He's too much of a utility player.
    7/31/2014 11:22:56 AM
  • Surprise exit = Fletcher. His name's been linked but I have a bad feeling. It will be a terrible decision to let him go.
    7/31/2014 11:22:58 AM
  • Not sure. Welbs might be the next Dirk Kuyt.
    7/31/2014 11:23:20 AM
  • He would be a great signing for Everton. Is Everton everyone's second team now? (apart from liverpool fans obvs)
    7/31/2014 11:23:22 AM
  • I like 'welbz', being a local lad and all that, but to be honest he never seems to be in control of his limbs. Terrible finisher. If he wasn't a red I think he would get the same stick that Cleverley does.
    7/31/2014 11:23:35 AM
  • I think Welbeck could go to Newcastle on loan... always reminded me of Shola Ameobi with his tricks and no finishing ability...
    7/31/2014 11:23:37 AM
  • Stefan De Vrij on choosing Lazio: “Could I have gone to the Premier League? No, Lazio was always my first choice. I am excited to play here, I want to help the team improve and to better myself. I want to become more complete."
    7/31/2014 11:24:31 AM
  • Midfield: 1. Vidal 2. Carvalho 3. Blind/de Jong
    7/31/2014 11:24:49 AM
  • Reports coming out of France would suggest that Hatem Ben Arfa's Newcastle days are over. He's had a pop at Pardew's hoofball tactics. Except in French.
    7/31/2014 11:26:50 AM
  • Experiences of Marveaux, Gutierrez & HBA illustrate that if you're out under Pardew, you stay out. All 3 frozen out.

    7/31/2014 11:36:59 AM
  • So Chilean reports say Arturo Vidal has passed a medical at Man United. Juve say he's staying, and Goal.com say that LVG wants to wait for Kevin Strootman instead. Is that everything covered?
    7/31/2014 11:43:19 AM
  • England about to win a cricket match....i think United will sign Vidal - it's that kind of day!
    7/31/2014 11:43:30 AM
  • Someone must be reporting that Liverpool or Arsenal are going to steal Vidal surely?
    7/31/2014 11:45:13 AM
  • Metro told us exactly that yesterday. Which is why they should never be trusted with anything more valuable than four-pence.
    7/31/2014 11:45:43 AM
  • I can't take it anymore! I really can't see anything happening until United get back from the tour. Hopefully they don't get through to the final and get home earlier
    7/31/2014 11:45:52 AM
  • Former Swansea and Brighton midfielder Andrea Orlandi in talks with Blackpool over a possible move. They're getting close to having a bench.
    7/31/2014 11:46:32 AM
  • Carl Jenkinson has completed a medical at West Ham United ahead of his loan deal, according to Sky Sports. Shame. We rather hoped he'd join Southampton.
    7/31/2014 11:51:04 AM
  • Manchester United target Arturo Vidal is reportedly planning to force through a move to Old Trafford in the coming days after his agent flew in to finalise the switch. - independent
    7/31/2014 11:51:12 AM
  • So now all Utd's business will be done once there back from the tour? This all sounds very familiar, all we need now is ewar woowar have to rush off from the US base for urgent business.
    7/31/2014 11:52:04 AM
  • Dose not matter where the team/manager are in the world transfers should get done. Look what wenger managed while hanging out on the beach in brazil.
    7/31/2014 11:53:00 AM
  • This Vidal thing is going to rumble on and on isn't it, should be good come deadline day. I was liking how United were shaping up but at the moment I am feeling that Liverpool are closer to their transfer window goals, a DM, an attacker and a LB and Pool should be done. United need 1 or 2 midfielders, a couple of centre backs and a couple of wing backs.
    7/31/2014 11:53:23 AM
  • Surely there must be someone on the blog who has a friend working at Manchester Airport or at a hotel who can confirm that Vidal's agent was spotted schmoozing Not-so-fast Eddy.
    7/31/2014 11:53:28 AM
  • If you're so into football that you can pick out Arturo Vidal's agent at an airport, you need to reassess your life
    7/31/2014 11:59:19 AM
  • Remember United were purchasing from a position of strength. Ah the good ol' days...
    7/31/2014 12:02:04 PM
  • Portugese sources reporting Rojo to Saints is close... Can play LB but with Bertrand would expect him to revert to left-sided CB. Very, very nice for us
    7/31/2014 12:02:10 PM
  • I cna see Rojo signing for £15m, impressing the hell out of everyone and then being poached/blagged/pressured by one of the 'bigger' teams in the league for £30m+ next Summer. Good on Saints, though. A quality signing if he does come.
    7/31/2014 12:05:35 PM
  • In the absence of done dealios, any predicitions for Hull's European debut tonight?
    7/31/2014 12:09:17 PM
  • We're not sure but it looks like they're playing in an amazing location...
    7/31/2014 12:09:34 PM
  • Trencin v Hull City tonight. I organised a coach of fans from around Europe to go there once. Best ever. instagram.com/p/rHRsMqv91m/

  • Clyne, Fonte, Rojo, Bertrand.... not bad, strong and pacey
    7/31/2014 12:09:55 PM
  • Looking good for the Saints. Hopefully those they bring in will keep them comfortably in the Prem for the next couple of seasons. That'll allow them time to blood more superstar kids in.
    7/31/2014 12:10:02 PM
  • Burnley keeper Tom Heaton has signed a new three-year contract: "It's great to be a part of it. I feel that personally I have got more to come and I'm really excited to show that here. The aim is to stay in the Premier League and kick on from there."
    7/31/2014 12:10:36 PM
  • Everton now leading the race for Chelsea winger Christian Atsu on loan ahead of Sunderland and Aston Villa. #EFC #CFC #SAFC #AVFC
  • Wow. Love the way the beauty of the castle in the background contrasts with what looks to be a truly craptacular football stadium
    7/31/2014 12:12:29 PM
  • Looks like Hull are playing in Mordor
    7/31/2014 12:14:13 PM
  • Quotes from Cavani, those links to United were always gonna be BS: "I am sure to stay, why would I not?" he told L'Equipe while with PSG in Beijing on Thursday. "I'm well in Paris. I have a contract to honour. I'm calm, I'd rather be here. I feel good here. However, I know it does not depend solely on the player but also on the club."
