The F365 Transfer Blog - Tuesday July 15

    7/15/2014 3:19:19 PM
According to Marca, Jose Mourinho is desperate to wrap up a €20m deal for Filipe Luis before Chelsea's pre-season gets in full swing.
    7/15/2014 10:50:02 AM
Why 'never going to happen' F365? Liverpool are the Premier League runners up, a huge club which has already showed willingness to invest, has got money from the Suarez sale and Reus fills a need.
    7/15/2014 10:54:12 AM
If Sanchez rejected Liverpool to join Arsenal, then what makes you think Reus would be keen to go to Anfield?
    7/15/2014 10:55:00 AM
In Stanger's defense in my(biased) opinion LVG was the highlight of the tournament, it seemed every game he had atleast 1 trick up his sleeve which worked beautifully for him./ Except for that terrible semi final.
    7/15/2014 10:55:28 AM
The Elite players don't look at Liverpool as Elite anymore-They are the very next Rung down now
    7/15/2014 10:55:33 AM
come on guys it is the hope that kills...just forget about it, it will never ever happen.
    7/15/2014 10:55:38 AM
    "According to Marca" - drink!
    7/15/2014 10:55:44 AM
One decent season does not make an attractive team. Would Suarez have joined Atletico? No, They may be champions but they are not a lure.
    7/15/2014 10:59:41 AM
@Football365 Sanchez rejected Liverpool as he preferred London not because of the relative 'prestige'. Who's to say Reus is the same.
    7/15/2014 11:00:38 AM
And yet all those Arsenal players moved to Manchester, despite the bright lights of London. That will only have been a small part of his thinking. More likely it was the money on offer and the fact that Arsenal have been in the Champions League for a billion seasons in a row. Plus it's now two years since they last sold their best player.
    7/15/2014 11:02:30 AM
I think its safe to say that Reus is this summers Isco
    7/15/2014 11:03:05 AM
Reus to leave boyhood club he's only returned to 2 years ago, with 3 years left on contract? Only if to Barca or Madrid methinks.
    7/15/2014 11:03:48 AM
I move that "It's the hope that kills you" is added to the bingo card
    7/15/2014 11:05:15 AM
Hi there folks, change in the hotseat.
    7/15/2014 11:06:49 AM
D-Sto with you for most of the afternoon session. You lucky buggers
    7/15/2014 11:07:14 AM
If Liverpool hadn't let Dan Pacheco go they wouldn't need Reus.
    7/15/2014 11:07:20 AM
DONE DEALIO - Alfreton sign ex-Lincoln and Macclesfield defender Dan Gray.
    7/15/2014 11:08:01 AM
Daily Star say united are preparing £38m and £150k a week for Di Maria, funded by Adidas obv.
    7/15/2014 11:08:05 AM

    7/15/2014 11:08:15 AM
D-Sto? He sounds like a Cuppa Soup or OXO Cube.
    7/15/2014 11:08:30 AM
Redknapp remaining hopeful over Ferdinand deal leads the pack in the banal move of the window race..
    7/15/2014 11:08:35 AM
Another DONE DEALIO - Evian have signed Denmark international forward Nicki Bille Nielsen from Rosenborg for an undisclosed fee.

    7/15/2014 11:09:35 AM
Football League news from our chums at Sky Sports now, who believe Ipswich Town are closing in on the signing of Notts County goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski.
    7/15/2014 11:10:24 AM
A lot of players end up at Evian... must be something in the water
    7/15/2014 11:10:32 AM
    Nice
    7/15/2014 11:10:35 AM
Sky Sports also understands that Sheffield United are set to sign former Peterborough defender Craig Alcock.

Presumably called 'No Balls' by his mates?
    7/15/2014 11:11:21 AM
    Bingo card so far:
    - can't be worse than Ashley Young
    - has rejected the opportunity to join West Ham
    - According to Marca
    - It's the hope that kills you
    - Sky Sports understands

    Any more?
    7/15/2014 11:11:34 AM
isn't it funny how now Wenger can splurge all he wants the Arsenal fans on their high horses about City and Chelsea have all crawled back into the woodwork, Arsenal have probably got one of the oldest squads now as well!
    7/15/2014 11:11:36 AM
Is "I am calm" too last season to get on the bingo card?
    7/15/2014 11:12:38 AM
Any variation of "i am calm." has to be on the bingo card.
    7/15/2014 11:12:40 AM
No I'm still on my high horse than k you very much. There's a difference between a sugar daddy financing transfers and spending money the club earned off its own back.
    7/15/2014 11:14:25 AM
This blog is for peace and love right? as well as gossip funness
    7/15/2014 11:14:28 AM
Far too much emphasis gets placed on Champions League participation. There are plenty of teams in that competition who can't attract big names because of a lacking in either reputation or money. Trying to pretend like United are suddenly beneath Liverpool in the pecking order for decent players because of last season is naive at best. Ok, it's not ideal that we don't have it this year, but it's one year in 19; at this point it's the exception, not the rule.
    7/15/2014 11:14:31 AM
Lunch News (hence two minutes of quiet) - Having porridge because we're going for Buy One Get One Free burgers later.
    7/15/2014 11:15:10 AM
Arsenal 4th oldest, squad Liverpool 5th oldest, City 12th oldest, chelsea 13th oldest, united 15th oldest as of last season...sorry mate
    7/15/2014 11:15:22 AM
Ferdinand, Vidic, Giggs and soon Evra gone. That's a total of 140 years off United's total. I'd say that average will be significantly lower this time round.
    7/15/2014 11:17:07 AM
Porridge for lunch? Very wrong. Oatcakes if you're wanting to keep the arteries from hardening.
    7/15/2014 11:17:11 AM
It's cheap, it's quick and it's healthy. And it's burgers later
    7/15/2014 11:18:03 AM
Where are you lunching, chaps? Not that I'm going to follow you.... honest.
    7/15/2014 11:18:09 AM
At our desks. We work through lunch every day.
    7/15/2014 11:18:20 AM
@Ted, it's not about pretending anything. MU have a big rebuilding job to do in order to have a squad in the top four, and if they don't break back into it next season then there's big problems. Sure, they can 'afford' the loss of revenue, but it's folly to think that a brand name alone is enough. Even sponsors only stick around for so long, and everyone else is investing their CL revenues without you.
    7/15/2014 11:18:21 AM
Oooo, where does Buy One Get One Free Burgers?????? Do tell.
