Kenwyne Jones & Peter Odemwingie straight swapped didn't they, that worked well for Cardiff, relegated and stuck with Kenwyne Jones!!
    7/22/2014 2:11:40 PM
I think we might have our first ever straight swap deal! That's like a golden ticket in terms of transfer blog bingo....
    7/22/2014 2:11:44 PM
City do not want Wilshere, I have no insight on this transfer what so ever I just know they do not want Wilshere.

Spurs were supposed to buy Davies for Ten million. Swansea were supposed to sign Gylfi for the same price so it made sense. What doesn't make sense is how Sigurdsons price has gone up since he joined Spurs. How does Levy do it.

No idea. Just right click and open in new tab?

I don't like Other, I want them to go down.
    7/22/2014 2:18:23 PM
@Orikoru. I concede defeat. Though I'd like to point out that Casillas may not maintain his status after this window and Totti/Messi/Iniesta could still possibly switch. I've gone for retired players mind

More transfer gossip from Switzerland if you're interested. Jose Mourinho has decided that Romelu Lukaku can't fit into his Chelsea system and demanded 28m francs for him. In addition, Monaco have contacted Galatasaray regarding a deal for Wesley Sneidjer, a fee of 34m france is claimed.
    7/22/2014 2:19:31 PM
We'll level with you, we prefer you saying gossip than biting about where your team will finish.

Geeky tip. If you are using a mouse rather than laptop if you click the link by clicking in the scrolling roller on the mouse then it opens it in a new tab, boom!

    7/22/2014 2:20:35 PM
    Er..what?

Lionel Messi was allegedly interested in a shock transfer to Arsenal before he signed a new contract with Barcelona just two months ago.

The Argentine superstar eventually penned his extension with Barca in May having previously rejected fresh terms, following a row over bonus payments.

And Spanish newspaper Vozpopuli, who broke the news of Arsenal’s deal for Alexis Sanchez, says Messi was seriously considering a switch to the Emirates before sorting out an arrangement to stay at the Nou Camp.

The paper claims that Messi had spoken to close friend Cesc Fabregas about his time at Arsenal, and also sounded out other acquaintances about a switch to London.

He had apparently already instructed his agent to discuss with the Gunners whether a transfer could realistically take place, before Barca quickly moved to sort out his future.

Messi had an opportunity to move to Arsenal before joining Barcelona’s academy as a kid, and he is said to be a huge admirer of Arsene Wenger and his methods.

    Maybe one day…

Hell yes. Sassuolo are my non-English team.

Michel Vorm's Tottenham transfer close to completion with in £5million switch from Swansea, say the Mirror.
    7/22/2014 2:45:30 PM
I don't care for Bilbao, mainly because when I was about 13 or so I had a Championship Manager with foreign leagues for the first time ever. They were the first team I went and it took me almost 2 hours to work out why the board seemingly wouldn't allow me to sign anybody. It was as annoyed as I've ever been.
    7/22/2014 2:46:23 PM
    That made us laugh.
    7/22/2014 2:46:33 PM
Was it you who wrote that brilliant article on Sassuolo last year? I can't seem to find it right now.
    7/22/2014 2:49:42 PM
Oh you guys. Yes, I tend to write the bigger pieces about things I like. Selfish.
    7/22/2014 2:50:05 PM
Foreign teams, I've always liked AS Roma and purely because of a man crush on Totti
    7/22/2014 2:50:36 PM
Is Vorm not first choice at Swansea anymore? That transfer puzzles me.
    7/22/2014 2:50:48 PM
Hertha Berlin have a much better team than one would imagine before examining such...Jon Brooks of World Cup 2014 fame...Johnny Heitinga...Valentin Stocker of World Cup 2014 fame
    7/22/2014 2:51:01 PM
I've been to a Hertha game before. Unbelievable atmosphere and they sell beer. Ticket for 20 euro too. Pity I spent another 50 euro buying a ridiculous pocho.
    7/22/2014 2:55:27 PM
Did you pick Evian solely because they wear pink?
    7/22/2014 2:55:29 PM
Dunno, just always liked them and then they went and got promoted too.
    7/22/2014 2:55:44 PM
Vorm deal covers a few bases, Friedel is done next year, if anyone comes offering silly money for Lloris next year Vorm can step up, for 5m seems a good bit of business
    7/22/2014 2:55:46 PM
Foreign teams, I've halways had a soft spot for Fiorentina and Dortmund. Purely because my old five-a-side team used to wear their shirts at one time or another, to ensure there were never any kit clashes
    7/22/2014 2:56:02 PM
Any love out there for St. Pauli? Was given a jersey a while back and it swiftly became a prized possession.
    7/22/2014 2:57:06 PM
Love St Pauli, but they are a bit more about what they represent off the field than the football (and there is nothing wrong with that).
    7/22/2014 2:57:40 PM
    I'm more about the football.
    7/22/2014 2:57:48 PM
Leroy Lita will play on trial for Ipswich this evening.

Djalminha says FC Basel. Similar to Barcelona, but tax free.
    7/22/2014 2:58:47 PM
I remember seeing Leroy Lita for Bristol against Tranmere at Prenton park many moons ago, I thought he was going to go on and be the dogs from then.
    7/22/2014 2:59:43 PM
Surely the Spanish team to support this year is Eibar? Assuming they're actually going to be allowed to compete with their 5,000 capacity stadium
    7/22/2014 3:01:25 PM
For more 'foreign teams' to like, you should check out Cork City, celebrating 30 years as a club, rescued by the fans a couple of years ago, battling it out at the top of the League (of Ireland) this season

Beaming a little bit. And then chastising myself for caring about such silliness
    7/22/2014 3:02:41 PM
If you are all about the football does that mean that your list of favourite foreign teams is ever-changing?
    7/22/2014 3:02:52 PM
Quiet days on the transfer front seem to take an inevitable turn towards, what I like to call, the Daniel Storey Show. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining - it's more entertaining than any of the garbage they put on TalkSport or ITV.
    7/22/2014 3:05:02 PM
    There really isn't much about.
