The F365 Transfer Blog - Tuesday July 22

  • Probably some bargains to be had at Shakhtar. I imagine most of their players are open to relocation atm
    7/22/2014 9:22:10 AM
  • That would be brilliant. Gnabry gets overlooked because of Sterling and Januzaj but he is just as good.
    7/22/2014 9:22:13 AM
  • Watched him a couple of times at the Emirates last season and was really impressed. Plays with his head up, which is rare for a winger.
    7/22/2014 9:22:44 AM
  • Vidal isn't happening. Just accept it & move on.
    7/22/2014 9:30:00 AM
  • F365, How do these rumours start? Is there any concrete evidence or just imaginations running wild?
    7/22/2014 9:30:15 AM
  • The stork brings them.
    7/22/2014 9:30:36 AM
  • Also does F365 believe that Lamela has it in him to kick on this season? By all accounts a good player, maybe a new coach and year to settle will help? Breakthrough season coming up!
    7/22/2014 9:30:46 AM
  • He was brilliant at Roma and in the Argentina youth teams. Pochettino should help him kick on.
    7/22/2014 9:31:21 AM
  • Bebe has confirmed he is set to join Benfica from Manchester United. #MUFC
  • Argentinian coach Argentinian player, Lamela to be top scorer next season..... makes sense to me................. And yes that is me in the picture:)
    7/22/2014 9:36:23 AM
  • Lamela is a cracking player... very easily see him do a Pires and be breath-taking in his second season
    7/22/2014 9:36:31 AM
  • Considering Bebe is joining the Portuguese champions, that didn't turn out to be so bad.
    7/22/2014 9:36:34 AM
  • Benfica are pretty desperate at the moment though.
    7/22/2014 9:36:55 AM
  • Just seen the Mail mentioning Arsenal to bid for Nastasic. Personally would love to see it!
    7/22/2014 9:37:07 AM
  • Yup, that would be a decent signing.
    7/22/2014 9:37:15 AM
  • Here's Bebe on his move to Benfica: "I'm ready to have a great season with Benfica. My bags are already packed. I'm ready to lower my salary to leave. I just want to play."
    7/22/2014 9:38:06 AM
  • How much were we paying Bebe if he's taking a pay cut? ridiculous
    7/22/2014 9:41:01 AM
  • F365, any thoughts on relegation battle this year? Also will the league table be as disjointed as last year?
    7/22/2014 9:41:09 AM
  • We're going to be original and tip Burnley to struggle.
    7/22/2014 9:41:23 AM
  • West Brom will probably be down there. Aston Villa, too.
    7/22/2014 9:41:43 AM
  • Would quite like it if Gnabry would go on loan to Everton. Think a season under Martinez would do him enormous good.
    7/22/2014 9:41:45 AM
  • Good shout.
    7/22/2014 9:41:49 AM
  • Nastasic injury prone? Just the right one for Arsenal then.
    7/22/2014 9:41:52 AM
  • Burnley, Villa and West Ham... ever happened before of all three relegated sides wearing same home kit?
    7/22/2014 9:48:29 AM
  • Uh-oh. Fabio Borini wants to stay at Liverpool despite Brendan Rodgers hoping to sell the forward to Sunderland.

“He wants to remain on Merseyside,” said Borini's agent, Marco de Marchi. “Sunderland have made a large offer of 18m Euros to sign him, but Fabio wants to stay at Liverpool.

“His project with Liverpool started two years ago when he left Roma; he began a journey and it is a major project for him. He should not be judged on his first year.

"He was out for six months with various injuries and during the past year he took a step back by going to Sunderland and he has had an extraordinary season."
    7/22/2014 9:51:40 AM
  • So Liverpool don't want him and he is just going to stick around. That should go well.
    7/22/2014 9:59:49 AM
  • Will Sunderland still want Borini after being called a step back? Ouch.
    7/22/2014 10:00:01 AM
  • Fair play to Borini. He believes in himself and wants to give it another crack. He's showing some guts which is still a valuable trait.
    7/22/2014 10:00:06 AM
  • Oooh. Morata has suffered an injury in his first training session for Juventus, expected to be out for 50 days.
    7/22/2014 10:00:22 AM
  • Any side that gets Gnabry on loan this season will get an excellent player, that lad will make it big one day, nice guy as well.
    7/22/2014 10:00:34 AM
  • Sir Storeys article on Di Natale is tip top. Made me weep a little. Great guy. (Di Natale, not Mr. Storey.
    7/22/2014 10:01:13 AM
  • Just so you guys know, Apostolos Vellios has signed for Lierse in Belgium. Oscar Ustari has signed for Newells and Diego Milito for Racing in Argentina. Just FYI.
    7/22/2014 10:01:45 AM
  • Borini scored a scorcher in the Tyne-Wear derby. I'm sure the Mackems will forgive. Plus, he is good at football unlike Jozy Altidore.
    7/22/2014 10:08:40 AM
  • Which players do F365 think have a big/crucial season ahead of them? Stand out pick for me is Wilshere. Time to start turning his fantastic potential into consistent and match winning performances. Interesting to see how Chamberlain develops this season also.
    7/22/2014 10:08:55 AM
  • We'd agree with that. Can probably throw Welbeck in there, too.
    7/22/2014 10:09:34 AM
  • Javier Saviola is eyeing a move to England after leaving Olympiakos. The striker's agent Christian Otero said: "We have come to agreement over Javier's contract and he is now a free agent and available to talk to other clubs. He has always wanted to play in Britain and that ambition remains, and we are fielding a number of enquiries from the UK."
    7/22/2014 10:10:20 AM
  • Can I throw in Joe Allen?
    7/22/2014 10:10:23 AM
  • Yup.
    7/22/2014 10:10:29 AM
  • I like Borini, but to be fair to the lad, even though playing well for Sunderland didn't exactly put a shedload in the onion bag did he.
    7/22/2014 10:10:32 AM
  • Villa will stay up again - there are too many poor teams in the league. Although football365 dont seem to like Villa all that much...
    7/22/2014 10:10:45 AM
  • We feel sorry for Villa.
    7/22/2014 10:11:01 AM
  • I'd throw Pardew in there too. He's had some investment in the squad.... if he starts badly I don't just see him getting the chop but who would give him another job in top flight, maybe even second flight too?
    7/22/2014 10:11:10 AM
  • Phil Jones needs to have a big season too
    7/22/2014 10:11:29 AM
  • Could throw in half the Man Utd squad.
    7/22/2014 10:11:30 AM
  • Throw them in. Throw them all in.
