  • KOMPANY FITNESS DOUBT? [manchestercity]
Vincent Kompany has given Manchester City a fitness scare on the eve of their crucial trip to title-rivals Liverpool. Pictures emerged on Saturday of the City captain appearing to limp out of a training session and he was seen holding his knee and being helped from the field by team-mates after landing awkwardly following an aerial challenge. City have confirmed that Kompany did not finish the session but that is not necessarily unusual after a knock, and the 28-year-old stayed off as a precautionary measure. He has since rejoined the squad and travelled as normal.

  • WEST BROM 3-3 TOTTENHAM REACTION
Tim Sherwood described his team’s defending as “shocking, terrible and not good enough” – but said the game was one-sided after they went 3-0 down. [tottenham]
Ridiculous goals we gave away and we continued to do that. Individual errors and we gave ourselves a mountain to climb. At 3-0 down I believed that we would win the game and I’m disappointed that we haven’t. Give credit to them, they came out of the blocks very fast, but they didn’t have to work for their opportunities to score. They were gifted it on a plate by us. We managed to get ourselves back in the game, but I always believed that we could. I said to the boys at half-time ‘well win the game’.
