    There has been a huge goal at the foot of League Two, where Shaquile Coulthirst has given bottom club Torquay the lead at Bristol Rovers. Chesterfield have moved in front at Hartlepool through Irishman Eoin Doyle’s 11th goal of the season, while a Jack Midson penalty has put Wimbledon ahead at Southend. Michael Drennan has extended Portsmouth's lead at Dagenham and Redbridge - they now lead 3-1 -  but he’s also had a goal chalked off. Drennan had initially been named as the scorer of Pompey’s fourth-minute opener but that has since been awarded to Danny Hollands.

Notts County were 2-0 down early in the first half against Port Vale, were drawing 2-2 at half-time and now lead 3-2 thanks to Jamal Campbell-Ryce's goal early in the second half. Leyton Orient have taken their foot off the gas as they have not added to their 4-0 half-time lead over Gillingham. Preston have also hit four to lead 4-1 against struggling Carlisle.

Leyton Orient continued their pursuit of Brentford (who lost 1-0 at Swindon) by hammering Gillingham 5-1. Preston were also among the goals as they stuffed Carlisle 6-1. Notts County leaped out of the relegation zone after staging a remarkable comeback against Port Vale. They were losing 2-0 in the first half but rallied to win 4-2. Elsewhere, Colchester beat struggling Stevenage 3-2 and Tranmere earned a vital 2-1 win over fellow relegation-candidates Shrewsbury.

    Burnley have to wait for another week - at least - to secure promotion. They lose 1-0 to Middlesbrough and Derby, in third, cut the gap behind them to eight points with four games left with 3-1 win over Huddersfield. Brighton and Ipswich both win to stay in play-offs contention. At the bottom Yeovil and Millwall - with a last minute goal - pick up a vital point with draws but Barnsley lose. All three still in the relegation zone.
