    12/21/2013 5:02:25 PM
Dearie me. Time may be running out, but that's no excuse for Lovren's wildly hopeful 45-yard blast at goal. I say 'at goal'...Meanwhile, Spurs send on Defoe for Soldado
    12/22/2013 3:13:16 PM
Saints' big men all forward as Ramirez swings in a free-kick. Lloris makes a pig's ear of his punch to invite further pressure, but Spurs get the job done in the end
    12/22/2013 3:17:05 PM
Lambert has team-mates a plenty piling towards the box as he lines up a cross from the right, but it's hugely overhit. Still, Saints will have five added minutes to find an equaliser
    12/22/2013 3:19:22 PM
Tough chance this one, for Lambert, but he might feel he could do better than volley into the ground and over as Lloris punches a corner straight at him
    12/22/2013 3:20:42 PM
  • SOUTHAMPTON 2-3 TOTTENHAM[garyneville]
Might have seemed unlikely a week ago, but Emmanuel Adebayor is Gary Neville's man of the match.

    12/22/2013 3:22:36 PM

There's the whistle, and Tim Sherwood's decision to bring back Adebayor yields further dividends as his two goals give the caretaker boss a first Premier League win. Tottenham go seventh, Saints are ninth

  • [jamieredknapp]We all know what a fantastic player Adebayor is. There was a fall-out between him and AVB and that's where Tim Sherwood deserves credit, for bringing him back into the fold. He brought on a good youngster and Spurs fans will like that - Daniel Levy will like that - it was a really good day for Tim Sherwood.

  • Teams are in the tunnel. Let's hope this lives up the entertainment on the south coast this afternoon
    12/22/2013 3:55:52 PM
We're under way in the second-half. Surely the next 45 minutes can only be better than the first?
    12/22/2013 5:02:00 PM
Early chance for Swansea in the second-half as Hernandez swings in a free-kick from the right, but it's just about dealt with and Swansea are forced to work it all the back to their keeper.
    12/22/2013 5:03:17 PM
  • SWANSEA 0-0 EVERTON [everton]
Looks like Martinez is going to make the first move to change things. He's chatting to Osman on the touchline
    12/22/2013 5:05:29 PM
Barkley robs de Guzman, feeds Mirallas, but his low cross lacks power and Tremmel can drop his hat on it
    12/22/2013 5:08:25 PM
  • SWANSEA 0-0 EVERTON [everton]
Here come Everton, building up some pressure and Swansea are penned in for now. Pienaar is furious at Lukaku for shooting from 20 yards instead of passing. The South African then shoots wide in frustration himself.
    12/22/2013 5:10:14 PM
  • SWANSEA 0-0 EVERTON [missed-chance]
Finally a chance and Ross Barkley makes an absolute mess of it, falling over his own feet as he prepares to shoot with only the keeper to beat. It was Pienaar who found him in acres of space, but it was like he had his shoelaces tied together.
