Weekend Live! (24-26 Jan)

  • GOAL! SUNDERLAND 1-0 KIDDERMINSTER [goal] - Mavrias (5)
A controlled finish into the bottom corner by Mavrias to give Sunderland, who have made 10 changes to their side, the perfect start
    1/25/2014 3:05:14 PM
A corner from the right is blown out by the wind to Rose 25 yards out and he wallops the ball home to haul Rochdale back into the tie. Game on! Not least because Mattock has been sent off for Wednesday for two bookable offences.
    1/25/2014 4:26:18 PM
  • MAN CITY 1-2 WATFORD [manchestercity]

    1/25/2014 4:26:19 PM
  • GOAL! BIRMINGHAM 1-1 SWANSEA (Wilfried Bony 67) [goal]
He's threatened a couple of times but makes this one count, does the substitute, converting Lamah's cross from the left with a meaty volley.
    1/25/2014 4:27:13 PM
  • GOAL! SOUTHAMPTON 2-0 YEOVIL (Gallagher 70) [goal]
Sam Gallagher's first senior goal for Southampton puts the Premier League side in total control. Lallana fed him down the left-hand side and the 18-year-old cut inside before finishing superbly.
    1/25/2014 4:27:52 PM
  • GOAL! BIRMINGHAM 1-2 SWANSEA (Wilfried Bony 69) [goal]
What a turnaround! It's two goals in three minutes for the big man, who finishes a thrilling counter-attack with a cool little chip.
    1/25/2014 4:28:26 PM
  • WIGAN 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE [crystalpalace]
Palace have improved since the break, but Wigan are countering well. Puncheon has twice been denied by some brilliant keeping by Al Habsi
    1/25/2014 4:32:15 PM
  • BOLTON 0-1 CARDIFF [cardiff]
Not sure about this goal 'celebration' from Fraizer Campbell...
    1/25/2014 4:32:46 PM
  • HUDDERSFIELD 0-1 CHARLTON [charlton]
Lawrie Wilson set up Simon Church's opener, which still separates the sides, despite Sean Scannell's best efforts for the hosts.
    1/25/2014 4:36:15 PM
  • GOAL! WIGAN 1-1 CRYSTAL PALACE (Wilbraham 69) [goal]
WIlbraham, just two minutes after coming on as a substitute, pounces on the ball in a goalmouth scramble and tucks it home to bring Palace level.
    1/25/2014 4:36:39 PM
  • GOAL! MAN CITY 2-2 WATFORD (Sergio Aguero 79) [goal]
Watford will hang on for the replay here because City - and Sergio Aguero - have irresistible momentum. It's Dzeko's ball that sends clear the Argentina striker and he stays cool as you like, looking up and finding the top corner.
    1/25/2014 4:37:05 PM
  • SOUTHAMPTON 2-0 YEOVIL [southampton]

    1/25/2014 4:39:39 PM
  • GOAL! PORT VALE 1-3 BRIGHTON (Jonathan Obika 78) [goal]
Brighton surely into the hat  as Obika gives them a cushion, beating Neal to the ball and prodding home.
    1/25/2014 4:40:26 PM
  • MAN CITY 2-2 WATFORD [manchestercity]
No luxuriating in that leveller for Sergio Aguero, who picks the ball out of the net and legs it back. They've about five minutes to find another or we'll head to a replay...

    1/25/2014 4:44:02 PM

    1/25/2014 4:44:27 PM
  • GOAL! MAN CITY 3-2 WATFORD (Kolarov 87) [goal]
City were odds-on for victory even at 2-0 down but they've left it late to complete what looks like a cracking comeback, one of Kolarov's long-rangers doing the damage.
    1/25/2014 4:44:55 PM
  • STEVENAGE 0-1 EVERTON [injury]
There's a lengthy stoppage here because Bryan Oviedo is down receiving treatment on what looks like a nasty ankle injury. He's being stretchered off and Leon Osman will come on in his place.
    1/25/2014 5:50:43 PM
  • Manchester City rallied from 2-0 down to beat Watford 4-2 and reach the fifth round. [manchestercity]

    1/25/2014 5:52:05 PM
  • STEVENAGE 0-1 EVERTON [free-kick]
Oh, this is a lovely set-piece, straight off the training ground. Luke Freeman strikes the ball after a trap and a feint - and Robles has to drop quickly to his left to push the ball away.
    1/25/2014 5:55:08 PM
  • [everton]
    1/25/2014 5:56:17 PM
  • STEVENAGE 0-1 EVERTON [save]
Robles has to react quickly again, this time with both hands, as Morais curls a dead ball goalwards. Really tasty tie, this, so far.
    1/25/2014 6:02:21 PM
  • GOAL! STEVENAGE 0-2 EVERTON (Naismith) [goal]
Stevenage are getting a lesson in finishing here. It's a brilliant through-ball by Osman and a super first touch from Naismith, who can hold off Ashton and flick past Day.
    1/25/2014 6:02:56 PM
  • [betting] It's been a great day for football punters with ten of the 11 best backed sides all winning this afternoon. Everton are also 2-0 ahead in the late kick-off so it's looking like a dreadful day for the bookies. Bet in-play now
    1/25/2014 6:04:19 PM
  • GRAY'S REWARD [bn]
Sheffield Wednesday have been on a fine run of form under caretaker Stuart Gray and today's FA Cup win at Rochdale has finally brought reward. Gray replaces Dave Jones.

    1/25/2014 6:06:34 PM
  • STEVENAGE 0-2 EVERTON [injury]
Here's the moment Bryan Oviedo suffers what's feared to be a bad ankle injury. The Costa Rican midfielder has been taken to hospital.
    1/25/2014 6:09:39 PM
  • STEVENAGE 0-2 EVERTON [everton]
Naismith, who's scored his first competitive brace for Everton, is breathing down Ashton's neck again as a crossfield ball comes his way but the Stevenage man can hoik clear this time. Up the other end, Freeman has a chance but he's leaning back.
    1/25/2014 6:16:37 PM
  • STEVENAGE 0-2 EVERTON [added-minutes]
We'll have six extra minutes on account of that Oviedo injury. Stevenage are working tirelessly but Everton are knocking the ball about with relative comfort.
    1/25/2014 6:20:43 PM
  • STEVENAGE 0-2 EVERTON [half-time]

    1/25/2014 6:22:26 PM
Let's get some reaction from the 3pm kick-offs, starting at Roots Hall.
The pitch was difficult and towards the end it was awful conditions - a typical cup tie. Sometimes in football you have to roll up your sleeves and we did that in abundance today. Matty Fryatt came into the side today and reminded me what a good player he is.
Two-goal Matty Fryatt might have given Hull boss Steve Bruce a selection quandary.
I am proud of them but just disappointed that in the final third there was a difference in quality. It just did not fall for us today but our challenge is to now get out of this division.
    Southend boss Phil Brown
    1/25/2014 6:27:12 PM
Jeff Stelling and the gang were in the usual seats on Saturday to guide us through a cracking day of FA Cup and Football League action. Keep a look-out for Bianca Westwood getting caught in some atrocious weather, much to the panel's amusement!
    1/25/2014 6:28:06 PM
Michael Laudrup was thrilled to see Wilfried Bony come off the bench and score a matchwinning double:
When you have a big price tag it is about patience and I am happy for him and the team. He has a cool head, you can see how he finished his goals, he is playing with confidence. Hopefully we can build on this result in the game on Tuesday against Fulham.
    1/25/2014 6:30:12 PM
Gus Poyet was philosophical after his side - with 10 changes from the one that beat Manchester United on penalties in the Capital One Cup - scraped past non-league Kidderminster.
It was not a classic. I was worried about the start, and the best part was the first 20 minutes. The connection, the ability, the understanding wasn't there, so we need to accept it as it comes. It's a win, we are going to be in the draw tomorrow.

    1/25/2014 6:38:14 PM
  • STEVENAGE 0-2 EVERTON [kick-off]
Back under way in this one and there's been a half-time change for the visitors: John Heitinga on for Phil Jagielka...

A meaty challenge from Ashton leaves Mirallas in a heap on the turf but he's soon up and swiftly forces Day into action with a rising shot across goal. [everton]
    1/25/2014 6:46:48 PM
  • GOAL! STEVENAGE 0-3 EVERTON (Heitinga 55) [goal]
He's been linked with a move away this window and this could be a parting gift from Johnny Heitinga, who nods in Everton's third when Mirallas keeps a move alive with a overhead kick back into the mixer.
    1/25/2014 6:47:24 PM
  • STEVENAGE 0-3 EVERTON [flag]
Naismith has the ball in the net again - lovely chip it is too - but the flag's up and he can't snaffle the match ball just yet. Freeman, who's been the standout player for Stevenage, digs out a great cross from the byline at the other end but Robles gets a hand to it. Everton still dominant.
    1/25/2014 6:57:58 PM
  • STEVENAGE 0-3 EVERTON [missed-chance]
Francois Zoko should pull one back for the League One side here. He brings a ball down on his chest and has plenty of goal to aim at, but slices across the ball and watches it fly wide.
