Weekend Live! (28-30 March)

  • [goalsonsunday] Ally McCoist believes that it takes a certain kind of player to perform for Rangers due to the huge expectations:
The lads coming from the likes of Motherwell and Hearts - they've all played in the top-flight but they've not played for Rangers and it is completely different. I firmly believe it's easier playing against Rangers than it is playing for Rangers because of the different levels of pressure.

  • TOTTENHAM TEAM V LIVERPOOL [tottenham]

    3/30/2014 2:09:31 PM
  • FULHAM 1-2 EVERTON [save]
Little more than five minutes for Fulham to find an equaliser most wouldn't begrudge but they need Stockdale to make another excellent save here from Naismith. It looks ominous for the hosts when Lukaku rolls into his path but the keeper darts off his line and makes himself big.
    3/30/2014 2:12:46 PM
  • GOAL! FULHAM 1-3 EVERTON (Naismith 87) [goal]
And that's that. Fulham should deal with a loose ball a lot better but credit to the tenacity of Baines, who prods into the path of Naismith. Simple finish.
    3/30/2014 2:13:40 PM
  • FULHAM 1-3 EVERTON [post]
Fulham's legs have gone and Naismith almost has a second, striking the base of a post with his low drive. Into added time.
    3/30/2014 2:19:48 PM
  • FULHAM 1-3 EVERTON [full-time]
It's all over - and is that the case for Fulham's survival bid? Felix Magath wears a world-weary look. His side are five points from safety - effectively six, given their goal difference - with just six games to go. Everton, who were galvanised by Steven Naismith, are now four points behind Arsenal with a game in hand. Those two meet meet Sunday...

  • LIVERPOOL 2-0 TOTTENHAM
Tottenham desperately need inspiration from somewhere if they are get back into this. On cue, Bentaleb has a dig from 30 yards but Mignolet is right behind it.
    3/30/2014 3:39:34 PM
  • LIVERPOOL 2-0 TOTTENHAM [save]
Better from Tottenham. They make inroads down the left and Soldado's curling shot from the angle forces Mignolet to punch to safety
    3/30/2014 3:40:59 PM
  • LIVERPOOL 2-0 TOTTENHAM [missed-chance]
More lax defending from Tottenham. Kaboul gifts the ball to Sterling. His floated cross picks out an unmarked Suarez but Lloris pushes his point-blank header onto the bar.
    3/30/2014 3:44:27 PM
  • LIVERPOOL 2-0 TOTTENHAM [half-time]
One-way traffic at Anfield. Liverpool well on top against a pedestrian Tottenham thanks to Kaboul's own goal and Suarez's 29th in the league. Join us again for the second period.

  • [betting]SKY BET ODDS
Can Tim Sherwood inspire his side to a second-half comeback like last weekend? Tottenham are 22/1 to win from here and 10/1 to salvage a point. Bet on Liverpool v Tottenham here.
    3/30/2014 4:02:14 PM
  • LIVERPOOL 2-0 TOTTENHAM [whistle]
So what have Tottenham got in their locker? Despite their first-half travails, it would just take one goal to create a very different atmosphere here.
    3/30/2014 4:04:07 PM
  • LIVERPOOL 2-0 TOTTENHAM [yellow-card]
Within 30 seconds, Sigurdsson's in the book for pulling back Coutinho on halfway
    3/30/2014 4:06:01 PM
  • LIVERPOOL 2-0 TOTTENHAM
Soldado outmuscles Agger down the right but he has no support in the box and the chance is gone. Tottenham's reluctance to commit men forward for fear of being caught on the break is evident.
    3/30/2014 4:13:22 PM
  • GOAL! LIVERPOOL 3-0 TOTTENHAM [goal {Coutinho)]
Coutinho picks up the ball in midfield, sets off towards goal and arrows a shot into the bottom corner from 20 yards.
    3/30/2014 4:14:22 PM
  • LIVERPOOL 3-0 TOTTENHAM [substition]
Lennon and Bentaleb off. Townsend and Dembele on.

    3/30/2014 4:18:43 PM

  • 3/30/2014 4:40:18 PM
  • LIVERPOOL 4-0 TOTTENHAM [ouch]
Flannagan slides in - fairly - on Soldado and leaves the Tottenham man in a heap. He needs some treatment but he's okay
    3/30/2014 4:41:23 PM
  • LIVERPOOL 4-0 TOTTENHAM [substition]
Moses comes on as Sterling departs. Game meandering towards a conclusion - and Liverpool marching to the top of the league.
    3/30/2014 4:42:44 PM
  • LIVERPOOL 4-0 TOTTENHAM [added-minutes]
Three added minutes here - as the battered Soldado departs on a stretcher to complete a miserable afternoon for Tottenham.
    3/30/2014 4:49:42 PM
  • LIVERPOOL 4-0 TOTTENHAM [full-time]
A result as comprehensive as the scoreline would suggest. Tottenham were toothless and so poor defensively; Liverpool were lively and largely irrepressible, Coutinho, Henderson and Johnson all excellent. They are now top of the league - after eight straight wins - with six games remaining. 'We're going to win the league' rings out around the ground. Would you bet against them now?!
