Weekend Live! (28-30 March)

  • [save]SWANSEA 1-0 NORWICH
Michu, who just had a minor altercation with Howson, lays the ball on for Bony, but he can only float a shot harmlessly into Ruddy's grasp.
    3/29/2014 3:36:42 PM
Alan Pardew is up in the stands with Mike Ashley today. His stadium ban is over, but he's still not allowed on the touchline. [newcastle]
    3/29/2014 3:37:08 PM
  • C PALACE 0-0 CHELSEA [crystalpalace]
Bolasie and Puncheon are having a good go at Chelsea and the former wants a penalty when he's brought down by Cahill. Looked a good challenge but replays show he might have not have got the ball after all. Jedinak stands over a set-piece now - but his low driller is no threat.
    3/29/2014 3:37:10 PM
  • [substitution]WEST BROM 2-1 CARDIFF
Early shake-up from Solskjaer, who throws Zaha on for Fabio.
    3/29/2014 3:37:18 PM
Celtic 1-1 Ross County - Commons levels for the champions
    3/29/2014 3:37:18 PM
  • [goal]GOAL! SWANSEA 2-0 NORWICH (De Guzman 37')
That's an exquisite goal. De Guzman's second and Swansea's second. He lays the ball into Bony, who has his back to goal and produces a truly sublime backheel that sends De Guzman through on goal. It's another neat finish, too - lifting the ball over the advancing Ruddy from eight yards. Great stuff.
    3/29/2014 3:38:58 PM
  • SWANSEA 2-0 NORWICH [mattletissier]
Matt Le Tiss says Chris Hughton will be furious with his players.
Norwich are shooting themselves in the foot. They are just giving possession away so cheaply - but it's an absolutely superb finish from De Guzman.

    3/29/2014 3:39:28 PM
  • [missed-chance]STOKE 0-0 HULL
Arnautovic is afforded room 25 yards from goal and takes aim, but it's a poor connection and never threatening the visitors' goal.
    3/29/2014 3:41:13 PM
[betting]Jonathan de Guzman is 12/1 to complete his hat-trick by scoring next as Swansea are in full control over Norwich. The Canaries are 12/1 to come away with a draw with the hosts now 1/20 to claim three points and ease their mild relegation concerns. Bet in-play now.

  • MERSON'S REACTION [paulmerson]
If you missed this earlier, take a look at how the Soccer Saturday pundit exploded with shock when Amalfitano opened the scoring for West Brom
    3/29/2014 3:42:31 PM
  • [missed-chance]WEST BROM 2-1 CARDIFF
Debatable free-kick awarded to West Brom, 25 yards from goal, but Dorrans' curler is too high and too wide anyway.
    3/29/2014 3:44:27 PM
  • C PALACE 0-0 CHELSEA [missed-chance]
You might have thought chances would be thin on the ground against a Chelsea side that have conceded just eight in 20 games but Palace have had a string of them. This loose ball's hit instinctively by Puncheon - but high into the crowd.
    3/29/2014 3:45:01 PM
Southampton have had 13 attempts on target so far. Newcastle have had zero. Jeff sums it up for us...
It's a 0-0 massacre down at St Mary's. Southampton are battering Newcastle, but not taking any of their chances. [jeffstelling]

Derby 2-0 Charlton - Bamford doubles the lead for the promotion-chasing Rams
    3/29/2014 3:45:23 PM
  • GOAL! SO'TON 1-0 NEWCASTLE (Rodriguez) [goal]
To say it's been coming would be an understatement and in the end it's a tap-in. Ward-Prowse spots Newcastle's high line and Lambert's free, squaring the ball for his team-mate.
    3/29/2014 3:45:49 PM
  • [half-time]SWANSEA 2-0 NORWICH
This has been an excellent performance from Swansea. The second De Guzman goal was a masterpiece.

    3/29/2014 3:47:10 PM
  • [half-time]STOKE 0-0 HULL
Not exactly one for the purists at the Britannia...
    3/29/2014 3:47:29 PM
  • [half-time]WEST BROM 2-1 CARDIFF
Well, that was eventful. The Baggies looked set to run riot at one point but Cardiff have regrouped well.
    3/29/2014 3:48:53 PM
  • SO'TON 1-0 NEWCASTLE [half-time]
There's the whistle at St Mary's - moments after Southampton finally, deservedly, get their noses in front. But for Rob Elliot and it might have been three or four.
    3/29/2014 3:49:05 PM
  • C PALACE 0-0 CHELSEA [half-time]
Plenty of cheek-puffing and note-scribbling from Jose Mourinho, who's title-chasing side have found game opponents from the other end of the table. The hosts are cheered off and no wonder - they've been the better side.

[betting]Chelsea and Stoke are the only pre-game favourites not to be leading at the break in the Premier League, with Swansea, Southampton and West Brom all ahead at half-time. Chelsea are still odds-on (4/6) to take all three points at Palace but Stoke are now out to 2/1 for a home win over Hull. Bet in-play here.
    3/29/2014 3:55:28 PM
  • Not too many goals in League One so far today. The games involving promotion-chasing Wolves and Brentford are goalless.

    3/29/2014 3:56:27 PM
  • Even fewer goals in League 2 today. Seems the clocks are the only things going forward...

    3/29/2014 3:58:24 PM
  • And here's how things are looking north of the border...

  • [kick-off]BACK UNDERWAY
This afternoon's 3pm games are into their second halves with most delicately poised.
    3/29/2014 4:01:29 PM
  • [substitution]SWANSEA 2-0 NORWICH
Johnson is on for Howson and Gutierrez has replaced Hoolahan.
    3/29/2014 4:02:09 PM
  • [save]SWANSEA 2-0 NORWICH
Norwich have clearly been given a stern talking to at half-time - they've begun a million miles per hour here. Swansea are twice forced to clear off their own line, first Williams denying Snodgrass and then Vorm fielding a tame Van Wolfswinkel header.
    3/29/2014 4:03:24 PM
  • [substitution]WEST BROM 2-1 CARDIFF
Solskjaer continues to tinker as he introduces Daehli in place of Gunnarsson.
    3/29/2014 4:04:14 PM
  • [save]STOKE 0-0 HULL
Odemwingie tries to catch Harper out with a long-ranger towards the near post, but the veteran gathers easily.
    3/29/2014 4:04:57 PM
  • C PALACE 0-0 CHELSEA [substitution]
Oscar's on for Chelsea, with David Luiz the man to make way. No early shift in momentum though, nor in Jose Mourinho's stony expression. The home fans, making merry in the sun, are enjoying this.
    3/29/2014 4:05:59 PM
  • GOAL! SO'TON 2-0 NEWCASTLE (Lambert) [goal]
Too easy. David Santon came on at half-time for Yanga-Mbiwa, who played Southampton onside in the build-up to the first goal, but he's now caught napping at the far post when Lallana swings in after a couple of tricks. Lambert takes a touch and lashes high into the net.
    3/29/2014 4:06:43 PM
Kammy can't believe how simple it has been for Southampton to go two goals ahead at St Mary's.
It's so easy. Alan Pardew is sitting in the stands and must be looking at his defenders and thinking 'what's going on?' [chriskamara]

    3/29/2014 4:07:30 PM
  • [missed-chance]STOKE 0-0 HULL
It's Crouch's turn to shoot disappointingly wide from a long way out. There hasn't been much in the way of chances in this game...
    3/29/2014 4:07:57 PM
  • GOAL! C PALACE 1-0 CHELSEA (Terry og) [goal]
Oh, how about this? Palace needed a hand with their finishing and they get one - an unwitting head to be precise. Terry's under pressure from Ledley when Ward delivers from the left and can only divert the ball beyond Cech.
    3/29/2014 4:08:37 PM
  • [missed-chance]SWANSEA 2-0 NORWICH
Unlucky for Shelvey. He's dummied Tettey out of his boots and rifles a low left-footer just wide of the post from 18 yards.
    3/29/2014 4:09:10 PM
[betting]Chelsea are now out to 9/4 to win at Palace having fallen behind, while they're 7/4 for a draw, with Fernando Torres the 9/2 favourite to score next. Meanwhile, Goal-shy Newcastle are now out to 25/1 to earn a point at Southampton, who are now 1/66 to earn three points having stretched their lead to two. Bet in-play with Sky Bet here.
    3/29/2014 4:10:27 PM
  • Did the ball go in off Terry's head or Ledley's hand? Or a combination of both? Either way, Chelsea are 1-0 down.

    3/29/2014 4:11:25 PM
  • [save]WEST BROM 2-1 CARDIFF
How crucial could that be? Vydra tries to bundle his way through and Caulker's ugly swipe at fresh air allows him to do so. The defender is sprung from jail by a brave smothering stop from Marshall, and Morrison blasts over the rebound.
    3/29/2014 4:11:27 PM
  • [missed-chance]STOKE 0-0 HULL
Dear oh dear. It's a good surge from Meyler, who leaves Whelan for dead before lashing goalwards from 25 yards. Begovic parries into the vicinity of Jelavic, who should do better than side-foot wide of the target from six yards with the goal gaping.
    3/29/2014 4:12:45 PM
  • [yellow-card]SWANSEA 2-0 NORWICH
Johnson is quickly into the referee's bad book as he lunges in on Shelvey.
    3/29/2014 4:13:57 PM
  • [tackle]WEST BROM 2-1 CARDIFF
Zaha wants a penalty having wriggled down the by-line... but he carried on playing and it would have been harsh.
    3/29/2014 4:14:58 PM
Sheff Wed 0-4 Watford - Deeny adds two more goals in as many minutes, while Bournemouth also lead by four goals at Birmingham
