    5/10/2014 4:46:04 PM
  • [fl72]PRESTON 0-1 ROTHERHAM: Rare effort on goal by the Lilywhites but it's only a weak shot from Garner - the low strike rolls harmlessly into the hands of keeper Collin.

    5/10/2014 4:52:54 PM
  • Preston are forced to clear a second corner in the space of just 30 seconds - Rotherham certainly on top as the first half reaches 40 minutes.

    5/10/2014 4:54:07 PM

    5/10/2014 5:02:11 PM

    5/10/2014 5:04:28 PM

  • [kick-off]PRESTON 0-1 ROTHERHAM: We're off again. Can Simon Grayson's boys in white give the home fans something to cheer in the second half?

    5/10/2014 5:21:41 PM
  • [goal]GOAL! PRESTON 1-1 ROTHERHAM (Garner, 49)
A brilliant strike by Garner who volleys the hosts level from just outside the box. An opportunist strike of the highest order. Game on.
    5/10/2014 5:23:38 PM
  • Garner smashes home the equaliser - the mood at Deepdale changes in an instant.

    5/10/2014 5:25:43 PM
  • The leveller from a different angle - superb goal.

    5/10/2014 5:26:12 PM
  • SKY BET ODDS[betting]
Breathtaking, absolutely breathtaking. Joe Garner was 11/2 to score next at half-time, anyone back it? His confidence will be sky high after that wonder strike and Sky Bet go 6/1 on him scoring the third goal in the game. Bet in-play here.
    5/10/2014 5:27:50 PM
  • Rudd saves from Frecklington as Rotherham threaten to regain the lead on the break.

    5/10/2014 5:30:11 PM
  • [fl72]PRESTON 1-1 ROTHERHAM: Frecklington bursts through on the counter-attack but keeper Rudd dives bravely to prevent a second Rotherham goal.
    5/10/2014 5:33:33 PM
    5/10/2014 5:37:56 PM
  • [substitution]PRESTON 1-1 ROTHERHAM: Veteran striker Kevin Davies, now 37, replaces namesake Craig. In a double change Keane comes on for Browne. Rotherham also make a substitution with Davis on for Frecklington who was injured as he attempted to get the ball past Rudd a few minutes ago.

    5/10/2014 5:41:08 PM
  • [missed-chance]PRESTON 1-1 ROTHERHAM: The visitors miss a great chance to net a second as Milsom flashes an effort wide from 12 yards.

    5/10/2014 5:55:35 PM
  • SKY BET ODDS[betting]
With under 10 minutes remaining, Preston are 4/1 to find a winner while Rotherham are 6/1, meaning a draw is most likely at 4/11. Preston hero Joe Garner is 12/1 to score next having notched a spectacular equaliser earlier in the game and Kevin Davies is a 16/1 chance. Bet in-play here.
    5/10/2014 5:56:08 PM

  • York v Fleetwood Town teams
York: Pope, Oyebanjo, Lowe, McCombe, Davies, Brobbel, Penn, Reed, Hayhurst, Coulson, Andrew
Subs: McGurk, Jarvis, Montrose, Platt, Bowman, Allan, Ingham

Fleetwood Town: Maxwell, McLaughlin, Roberts, Pond, Taylor, Blair, Sarcevic, Schumacher, Morris, Ball, Hume
Subs: Davies, Murdoch, Evans, Parkin, Matt, Hogan, Jordan

    Referee: Carl Boyeson (E Yorkshire)
    5/10/2014 6:08:18 PM
  • [fl72]PRESTON 1-1 ROTHERHAM: With 94 minutes on the clock, Vuckic forces a good save out of Rudd.
    5/10/2014 6:12:21 PM

  • [full-time]PRESTON 1-1 ROTHERHAM: It's all over and probably a fair result. The visitors dominate the opening 45 minutes and are ahead at the break thanks to Revell's individual effort - a typical route one goal on the break. But the Lilywhites level matters with a superb Garner volley early in the second half. The second leg is at the New York Stadium on Thursday.
    5/10/2014 6:13:55 PM
Referee Carl Boyeson is not happy with conditions at Bootham Crescent, so he has put the kick-off back to 8:00pm. It's dry in York at the moment, so fingers crossed...
    5/10/2014 6:29:08 PM
Mr Boyeson has just been on, and he wasn't particularly confident about the game going ahead, especially with the rain having started again. Brushes are being used to get the surface water off the pitch, but postponing it could prove a logistical nightmare. [fl72]
    5/10/2014 6:40:23 PM
  • GAME OFF!!
Such a shame for everyone but the weather has beaten us at Bootham Crescent and we'll have to rearrange this first-leg. York's chairman was on Sky Sports 1 a few minutes ago suggesting Monday or Tuesday night. The second-leg is set for Friday in Fleetwood.
    5/10/2014 6:46:27 PM
  • Game off at Bootham Crescent. A healthy crowd will have to trundle home feeling empty. See you again on Monday evening.

    5/10/2014 6:47:28 PM
  • The fans head out of the ground - but don't throw away your tickets just yet as you'll need them again on Monday - kick-off 7.45pm.

    5/10/2014 6:50:58 PM
That's all for now, sadly. We'd hoped to be with you until a bit later but the weather Gods have intervened. York v Fleetwood has been rearranged for Monday at 7.45pm. Back with more football tomorrow from the Play-Offs and of course the final day of the Premier League.

  • Brendan Rodgers on final day[liverpool]
Players have put Liverpool on the world map again in terms of what we’ve been trying to achieve at the club. Our performance levels have been exceptional in the course of the season and come Sunday, we will find until the end.

    5/11/2014 8:46:06 AM
  • CITY OR LIVERPOOL?[football]
Man City take a two-point lead over Liverpool into their home game against West Ham and need a draw to secure the title due to their superior goal difference. If the Hammers can defy the odds to win at the Etihad it would open the door for Liverpool, who host Newcastle United, to snatch back top spot and clinch their first league crown since 1990.

  • SPURS OR UTD?[tottenham]
Plenty to play for below Liverpool and City. Chelsea can still grab second spot. While the battle for a European spot is well worth keeping an eye on - particularly if you're a Tottenham or Man Utd fan. Spurs or United will play alongside fifth-placed Everton and FA Cup finalists Hull City in the Europa League. If Tim Sherwood's boys collect at least a point from their home game against Aston Villa or if United fail to win at Southampton, it would mean there will be no European football at Old Trafford next season.

  • Sky presenter James Cooper at the Etihad on SKY SPORTS NEWS[manchestercity]
The stage is being set. The toughest job over the last two days has been the groundsman. Plenty of rain and wind. The players are up and about and some are having breakfast. Their expected arrival at the stadium is 1.30. They are trying to do something extraordinary but trying to keep their build-up very ordinary
